How to Get Foundayo Online: 7 Paths to the New GLP-1 Pill [April 2026 Prices]

Here is how to get Foundayo online right now: get a valid prescription from a licensed provider — your doctor or a telehealth clinician — and fill it through LillyDirect, Eli Lilly's official access platform. Self-pay starts at $149/month for the lowest dose. Eligible patients with commercial insurance and the Foundayo savings card may pay as little as $25/month.

But LillyDirect handles the pharmacy side, not the prescribing side. So the question most people actually have is: who can write me a Foundayo prescription online, what will I really pay each month, and which sites are actually safe?

We compared 7 online paths to a Foundayo prescription — from Lilly-referred telehealth providers to independent platforms — and mapped the real total monthly cost at each one, including the program and membership fees that most comparison sites bury or skip entirely.

Best for

Adults who want an oral GLP-1 with no injections, no fasting rules, and no refrigeration.

Not best for

People who want the absolute highest weight-loss percentage (injectable Zepbound or oral Wegovy may deliver more), anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN 2, or readers looking for compounded GLP-1 alternatives.

What Are Your 7 Options for Getting Foundayo Online?

All 7 routes lead to the same FDA-approved medication at the same dose-specific drug prices — the difference is who prescribes it, what support you get, and what you pay on top of the medication. We verified each route against official sources as of April 8, 2026.

What this table reveals that other pages don't

The medication price is the same through every legitimate path because they all ultimately fill through LillyDirect or a retail pharmacy dispensing the same FDA-approved product. The variable is the platform fee stacked on top. WeightWatchers Med+ adds $74/month. Found adds $129/month. That means your real total monthly cost can range from $149/month (LillyDirect + your existing doctor, zero platform fee) to $423 or more (WW Med+ + Foundayo at $349 at the highest dose without the 45-day refill discount).

How Do You Actually Get Foundayo Prescribed Online?

The process is the same regardless of which prescriber route you pick. Five steps, and the first prescription can ship within days of checkout.

The Legitimate Online Foundayo Access Path — 5 steps: Step 1 Choose a licensed prescriber (search qualified medical providers), Step 2 Complete a medical evaluation (secure online questionnaire), Step 3 Prescription is sent to LillyDirect (e-prescription confirmation), Step 4 Pharmacy partner confirms details and checkout (verification progress and secure payment), Step 5 Authentic Lilly medicine is fulfilled through an official online pharmacy option (sealed package for delivery). What a real evaluation checks: BMI and weight-related health history, current medications, contraindications, prior treatment history. If a site offers Foundayo without a prescription, leave.
If a site offers Foundayo without a prescription, leave — that is a hard disqualifier for legitimacy.
1

Choose your prescriber

Your current primary care doctor, an obesity medicine specialist, or a licensed telehealth provider. The platforms in our matrix above all have licensed clinicians who can evaluate you for Foundayo.

2

Complete a medical evaluation

Your provider reviews your BMI (30+ for obesity, or 27+ with a weight-related condition like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or sleep apnea), medical history, current medications, and contraindications. If a platform approves you in under five minutes with zero health questions, that is a red flag, not a feature.

3

Your provider sends the prescription to LillyDirect

If your doctor's office is unfamiliar with LillyDirect, Lilly provides a How to Prescribe Guide at foundayo.lilly.com/hcp. Print it and hand it to your doctor — it saves time.

4

A LillyDirect pharmacy partner contacts you

LillyDirect works with licensed pharmacy partners — including Prescryptive, Amazon Pharmacy, Fuze Health, Gifthealth, and Walmart Pharmacy — to fulfill your order. One will reach out to confirm details, walk you through savings options, and guide checkout. Important: your provider must include your mobile phone number or email when transmitting the Rx. If they don't, the pharmacy partner can't reach you — ask your doctor's office to double-check before they send the prescription.

5

Pay and receive your medication

LillyDirect offers free home delivery (most orders ship within 1–4 days after checkout) or in-store pickup at participating retail locations.

How Much Does Foundayo Cost at Every Dose?

The 45-day refill rule you need to know

If you're on the 14.5 mg or 17.2 mg maintenance dose and paying self-pay, you get the $299/month price only if you refill within 45 days of your last delivery. Miss the window — travel, forget, supply gap — and your next fill jumps to $349/month.

Over 12 months at maintenance dose, that is the difference between $3,588/year and $4,188/year. Set a calendar reminder the day your order arrives.

Commercial Insurance + The Foundayo Savings Card

If you have eligible commercial drug insurance, the Lilly savings card can bring your out-of-pocket down to as low as $25/month — whether or not your plan specifically covers Foundayo. Key terms:

·

Maximum savings: $100/month per 1-month fill ($200/2-month, $300/3-month)

·

Annual cap: $1,000 per calendar year

·

Maximum 10 fills per calendar year

·

Card expires December 31, 2026

·

NOT available for Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or VA coverage

·

Patients may not seek HSA/FSA reimbursement for the savings card discount portion (but can use HSA/FSA to pay your out-of-pocket cost)

Medicare Part D: GLP-1 Bridge Starting July 1, 2026

Medicare beneficiaries are expected to access Foundayo through the CMS Medicare GLP-1 Bridge for approximately $50/month, beginning July 1, 2026. However, the Bridge has its own eligibility criteria that may be narrower than Foundayo's general FDA label — not every Medicare patient who qualifies under the FDA indication will necessarily qualify for Bridge pricing. Check cms.gov for the latest eligibility rules as the July launch approaches, or ask your provider.

Who Qualifies for Foundayo?

Who May Qualify for Foundayo? Basic eligibility — two criteria: 1. BMI 30 or higher (obesity), or 2. BMI 27 or higher plus at least one weight-related condition. Key do-not-use warnings: personal or family history of MTC, MEN 2, serious hypersensitivity to orforglipron. A licensed clinician decides whether Foundayo is appropriate for you.
FDA eligibility criteria as specified in the Foundayo prescribing information. A licensed clinician makes the final determination.

Foundayo is FDA-approved for adults who meet one of two criteria:

1

BMI 30 or higher

Obesity — regardless of other health conditions

2

BMI 27 or higher + at least one weight-related condition

Such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, sleep apnea, or cardiovascular disease

Who Should NOT Take Foundayo

Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) — hard contraindication

Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2) — hard contraindication

Known serious hypersensitivity to orforglipron

Currently taking another GLP-1 receptor agonist (Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Rybelsus) — cannot combine

Severe gastroparesis — not recommended due to severe GI reaction risk

Pregnant or planning to become pregnant — may harm an unborn baby; discontinue if pregnancy is confirmed

Breastfeeding — not recommended during treatment

Birth control warning

Foundayo slows gastric emptying, which can reduce how well oral contraceptives are absorbed. The FDA-approved labeling recommends using backup contraception (condoms, IUD, vaginal ring) for 30 days after starting Foundayo and for 30 days after each dose increase. This is in the prescribing information — not a suggestion.

Which Online Route Is Best for Your Situation?

Your best path depends on three things: whether you already have a prescriber, your insurance situation, and whether you want coaching or just a prescription.

Already have a doctor who will prescribe it → LillyDirect

Simplest path. No platform fees. No membership. Your doctor sends the Rx to LillyDirect, you check out, and it ships free. Total monthly cost: medication price only.

Want insurance-friendly obesity-specialist care → Form Health or knownwell

Form Health is on Lilly's official care finder and accepts most major private insurance and Medicare for clinical visits. knownwell charges no membership dues but does charge per visit ($299 initial, $149 follow-up at self-pay). Both route prescriptions to LillyDirect.

Want coaching and a structured weight-loss program → WeightWatchers Med+ or Found

WW Med+ gives you the WW ecosystem — coaching, meal plans, accountability — at $25 for month one, then $74/month on a 12-month commitment. Limitation: WW cannot yet check insurance coverage for Foundayo. Found offers a similar program-first model (CORE: $129/month). Total monthly cost: medication price + program fee.

Want a quick, simple telehealth prescription → Push Health

Push Health connects you with a licensed provider who can prescribe Foundayo when appropriate. Consultation fees vary by provider — confirm before booking. Total monthly cost: medication price + consultation fee.

Want maximum weight loss and Foundayo isn't strong enough → Choose a different path

If your primary goal is the highest possible percentage of body weight lost and you can handle injection logistics, Foundayo may not be your strongest option. Injectable Zepbound has shown over 20% weight loss in clinical trials. Oral Wegovy has shown approximately 16.6% in completers. Foundayo's highest-dose completers averaged 12.4%. We would rather tell you that now than have you find out at month six. Check our full GLP-1 comparison guide before committing.

How to Get Foundayo Online Safely — and Avoid Fake Sellers

Every major drug launch attracts scammers, and Foundayo — one of the most anticipated medications of 2026 — is no different. The FDA has already warned 30 telehealth companies about misleading marketing around GLP-1 medications, and the risk of encountering illegitimate sellers is highest in the first 90 days after launch.

How to Spot a Legitimate Online Foundayo Source. Safe signs: requires a valid prescription, provides a U.S. address and phone number, has a licensed pharmacist available, licensed with a state board of pharmacy. Red flags: sells Foundayo without a prescription, no verifiable U.S. pharmacy contact information, no pharmacist available to answer questions, prices that seem too good to be true. The safest online route is a licensed prescriber plus an official online pharmacy option.

Foundayo vs. Oral Wegovy: Which GLP-1 Pill Should You Choose?

Two oral GLP-1 options are now on the market, and this is the comparison most people are working through. We built this framework from ATTAIN-1 trial data (Lilly), OASIS 4 trial data (Novo Nordisk), and the Novo Nordisk ORION indirect treatment comparison published April 2, 2026.

Foundayo vs Oral Wegovy comparison chart — both once-daily pills. Foundayo: take any time of day, with or without food, no water restriction, no waiting period before eating, no injection required, best fit if you want the simplest pill routine. Oral Wegovy: take in the morning only, empty stomach, up to 4 ounces of water, wait at least 30 minutes before food, drinks, or other oral medicines, no injection required, best fit if you can follow a strict morning routine.
Same once-daily format — completely different daily routine requirements.

*ORION is a cross-trial indirect comparison with inherent limitations — different trial designs, populations, and timeframes. No direct head-to-head trial has compared Foundayo and oral Wegovy. Sources: ATTAIN-1 (Eli Lilly), OASIS 4 (Novo Nordisk), ORION (Novo Nordisk, April 2, 2026).

Choose Foundayo if...

Your schedule is unpredictable (shift work, travel, inconsistent mornings)

You don't want to manage fasting rules every day

Self-pay cost matters and you want the lower starting price

Long-term adherence matters more than peak efficacy numbers

Choose oral Wegovy if...

You have a rock-solid morning routine

You want the strongest weight-loss numbers in a pill

You've done well on injectable Wegovy/Ozempic and want to stay in the semaglutide family

Cardiovascular outcomes data matters to your decision

The honest trade-off: Foundayo does NOT deliver the highest weight-loss percentage among oral GLP-1 options. If every percentage point matters more to you than dosing flexibility, oral Wegovy's data is stronger on that metric. But Foundayo removes the daily friction — no fasting, no empty-stomach rules, no 30-minute wait — that causes real people to miss doses or quit. The most effective medication is the one you actually take.

What Are the Side Effects of Foundayo?

The side effect profile of Foundayo is consistent with the GLP-1 class. GI symptoms are most noticeable early and during dose increases, and they improve for most people as the body adjusts.

Most Common (ATTAIN-1, highest dose)

·

Nausea (most common — usually worst in first weeks at a new dose)

·

Constipation

·

Diarrhea

·

Vomiting

·

Indigestion / heartburn / GERD

·

Stomach pain / bloating / gas

·

Headache

·

Fatigue

·

Hair loss

Managing GI Effects

Eat smaller, more frequent meals

Avoid greasy, fried, and heavily spiced foods during the first weeks at each new dose

Stay well hydrated — especially if you experience vomiting or diarrhea

Tell your provider if symptoms are severe — they may slow your titration or hold your dose

Serious side effects — rare but important

⚠️ Pancreatitis

The ATTAIN clinical program reported 6 adjudicated events of acute pancreatitis in Foundayo-treated patients vs 2 in placebo. Stop taking Foundayo immediately and seek medical attention for severe abdominal pain that radiates to your back.

⚠️ Thyroid C-cell tumors (boxed warning)

In rodent studies, GLP-1 receptor agonists caused thyroid tumors including cancer. Human relevance is unknown. Report any lump or swelling in the neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath immediately.

Acute kidney injury

From dehydration caused by persistent nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Stay on top of fluid intake — this matters more than it sounds.

Pulmonary aspiration during surgery

Tell every anesthesiologist and surgeon that you take Foundayo before any procedure requiring anesthesia or deep sedation.

Is LillyDirect Better Than Telehealth for Foundayo?

This is the wrong framing.

LillyDirect is the pharmacy. Telehealth is the prescriber. They are two links in the same chain, not alternatives. LillyDirect does not prescribe Foundayo — it fills and ships it. You still need a separate clinician to evaluate you and write the prescription.

Use LillyDirect as your pharmacy if...

You want the most official fill path

Automatic savings card processing

Free home delivery

Zero platform markup

Add a telehealth provider if...

You don't have a willing/able doctor

You want ongoing weight-management support or coaching

You need help navigating insurance and prior authorization

What If Foundayo Isn't in Your Budget?

Foundayo is a brand-name, FDA-approved medication with a specific price floor. For some people, $149/month (and up to $349 at maintenance doses) is a real stretch — particularly without insurance coverage.

If that is your situation, you have options. But they are different medications, not cheaper versions of Foundayo.

What you need to know first

·

There is no FDA-approved generic orforglipron as of April 2026.

·

The FDA has warned telehealth companies against marketing compounded products as equivalent to FDA-approved GLP-1 medications.

·

Compounded GLP-1s are injectable, not pills — Foundayo's oral format is unique to the brand-name product.

·

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are different GLP-1 medications that work through similar pathways.

If budget is your primary constraint and you are open to a different GLP-1 medication, physician-supervised compounded options can start meaningfully lower than Foundayo. These are different medications with their own clinical profiles, but for many people they deliver meaningful results at a price that actually fits.

The Foundayo Dosing Schedule (Month-by-Month)

Foundayo uses gradual dose escalation to help your body adjust and minimize side effects. Your doctor increases your dose approximately every 30 days based on your response and tolerability.

MonthDoseMonthly Cost (Self-Pay)
Month 10.8 mg$149
Month 22.5 mg$199
Month 35.5 mg$299
Month 49 mg$299
Month 5+14.5 mg$299† (or $349 without 45-day refill)
Month 6+17.2 mg (max)$299† (or $349 without 45-day refill)

How to take it

One tablet daily, any time of day, with or without food or water. Swallow whole — do not crush, break, or chew.

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. Do not take two doses in one day.

If you miss 7+ consecutive doses

Per the FDA-approved label, reinitiate dosage escalation at a lower dosage — do not restart at your previous dose without your provider's guidance.

Storage

Room temperature (68–77°F). Keep in the original bottle to protect from light. No refrigeration needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can telehealth prescribe Foundayo?

Yes. Licensed telehealth providers can prescribe Foundayo to patients who meet the FDA eligibility criteria. Lilly's official care finder lists Form Health, 9amHealth, and knownwell as referred telehealth options. WeightWatchers Med+, Found, and Push Health also publish dedicated Foundayo pages with prescribing capabilities.

Can I buy Foundayo online without a prescription?

No. Foundayo is prescription-only. Any site selling it without requiring a valid prescription is operating illegally. Do not purchase from these sources.

Is LillyDirect the only place to get Foundayo?

As of early April 2026, LillyDirect is the primary fill channel. Eli Lilly stated that broad retail pharmacy and telehealth provider availability would follow shortly after the April 6 shipping launch. We will update this page as pharmacy options expand.

How much does Foundayo cost without insurance?

Self-pay through LillyDirect: $149/month (0.8 mg), $199/month (2.5 mg), $299/month (5.5 mg, 9 mg, 14.5 mg, 17.2 mg with 45-day refill compliance). Standard price at 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg without the refill program is $349/month.

Can Medicare patients get Foundayo in 2026?

Eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries are expected to access Foundayo for approximately $50/month through the CMS Medicare GLP-1 Bridge beginning July 1, 2026. Eligibility criteria may be narrower than the general FDA label — check cms.gov for current Bridge requirements.

Is Foundayo the same as orforglipron?

Yes. Orforglipron is the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Foundayo is the brand name under which Eli Lilly markets it for weight management.

Is Foundayo better than the Wegovy pill?

It depends on your priorities. Foundayo offers more dosing flexibility (any time, with food) and lower self-pay starting price. Oral Wegovy has shown stronger weight loss in cross-trial comparisons (~16.6% vs ~12.4% for completers) but requires empty-stomach morning dosing. No direct head-to-head trial exists yet.

Is Foundayo the same as Zepbound?

No. Both are made by Eli Lilly, but they are different medications. Foundayo contains orforglipron (oral daily pill, GLP-1 receptor agonist only). Zepbound contains tirzepatide (weekly injection, dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist). Zepbound generally produces greater weight loss but requires injection.

How fast can I get Foundayo delivered?

After checkout through LillyDirect, most orders ship within 1–4 days via free home delivery. Retail pickup may also be available at participating locations.

What if I already have a prescription?

Ask your doctor to send it to LillyDirect Pharmacy (NPI: 1912889320, NCPDP: 1574056). No telehealth platform or intermediary needed — this is the lowest-cost path because you pay only the medication price with no platform fee.

Is Foundayo available in every state?

Foundayo is FDA-approved nationwide and LillyDirect ships to all 50 states. However, some telehealth platforms may not be licensed to prescribe in your state. Verify with your specific provider before booking.

How long do I have to take Foundayo?

Foundayo is intended for long-term chronic weight management. Weight regain is common after stopping GLP-1 medications. Discuss your long-term treatment plan with your provider.
