Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective: May 3, 2026
This policy explains how Kozi Publishing LLC, operating as The RX Index, collects and uses consumer health data, in compliance with the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373), the Nevada Consumer Health Data Privacy Law (SB 370), and similar state laws. It supplements our main Privacy Policy.
1. What is consumer health data?
Consumer health data is personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to a consumer and that identifies the consumer's past, present, or future physical or mental health status. On The RX Index, this includes the answers you provide in the Find My Path quiz when you choose to associate them with an email address, and inferences about health that could be drawn from the specific guides you read if analytics or session-replay cookies are enabled with your consent.
2. Categories of consumer health data we collect
- Health markers and conditions you select in the quiz (for example: Type 2 Diabetes, prediabetes, PCOS, sleep apnea, pregnancy, MTC/MEN2 history, pancreatitis, allergies).
- Body composition information you enter (for example: height, weight, BMI inputs to cost calculators).
- Browsing inferences: which health-condition guides you visit, but only if you have granted analytics consent.
3. How we use this data
- To match you with a provider through the Find My Path quiz.
- To improve the matching algorithm.
- To respond to your inquiries.
- To maintain aggregate, de-identified analytics about which guides are useful (only with your consent).
We do not use consumer health data to infer characteristics about you for advertising, and we do not sell consumer health data.
4. With whom do we share consumer health data?
- Email service providers who help us deliver matched recommendations (acting as our service providers / processors).
- Cloud-hosting providers that store our database (acting as our service providers / processors).
- Affiliate partners that you choose to visit by clicking a recommended provider link. We do not transmit your quiz answers to them; clicking the link sends you to that provider's own site under their privacy policy.
We do not share consumer health data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Confirm whether we are processing consumer health data about you.
- Access the categories and specific pieces we hold.
- Withdraw consent — for the quiz, by emailing privacy@therxindex.com; for cookies, by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- Request deletion of your consumer health data.
- Appeal a denial of any of the above by emailing legal@therxindex.com within 45 days of our response.
6. How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@therxindex.com with the subject “Consumer Health Data Request” and the email address you used on the site. We will respond within 45 days. We may extend this once by another 45 days if reasonably necessary, and we will tell you within the first 45 days if we do so.
7. Security
We protect consumer health data with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards reasonable under the circumstances, including encryption in transit and at rest for our quiz_leads database.
8. Changes
If we make material changes that affect how consumer health data is collected, used, or shared, we will obtain your consent before applying those changes to data we already hold.
