Correction — Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program guide (/guides/medicare-glp-1-bridge-program/). An earlier version of the step-by-step process section incorrectly showed the Bridge prior authorization being submitted to the beneficiary’s Part D plan and the beneficiary paying the plan’s copay. The Bridge uses a pharmacy-first process: the prescriber sends the prescription to the pharmacy; the pharmacy submits the claim to the CMS central processor; the denied Bridge claim then triggers the PA request, which the prescriber submits electronically or by fax. A Part D denial is not required. The page has also been updated to: (1) add a hard-exclusion screen (CY2026 Part D GLP-1 history, T2D, moderate-to-severe OSA, noncirrhotic MASH) before the BMI eligibility section; (2) correct the BMI 30–34.99 qualifying-conditions list to include prediabetes, prior MI, prior stroke, and symptomatic PAD; (3) remove stale pre-launch language; (4) remove speculative BALANCE pricing and drug-list details; and (5) update all dates to July 10, 2026.
