Does Amazon Pharmacy have Wegovy?
Yes. Amazon Pharmacy lists every current Wegovy strength—four daily pill doses and six weekly pen doses—and delivers prescriptions to physical addresses in all 50 states. As of August 13, 2026, Amazon shows cash prices from $149 to $399 a month, depending on the form, dose, and coupon eligibility. Eligible patients with commercial insurance may pay as little as $25. Eligible Medicare Part D members pay a flat $50 through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge.
Stock is the one part no national answer can settle. Amazon may list your dose and still be unable to ship it to your ZIP code today. You must check the exact strength on your prescription.
Now the part almost nobody tells you.
Amazon changed the door that used to be closed. Amazon Pharmacy itself still cannot prescribe Wegovy, but Amazon One Medical can now evaluate eligible cash-pay adults for a new Wegovy prescription through its Weight Loss Care service, with care starting at $39. The catch moved: Amazon says its On-Demand lane is built for cash pay and does not support insurance prior authorizations. It is also limited to people ages 18 to 64 who meet its clinical screen, can provide required lab results, do not have diabetes, and are not pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive within two months.
So the real answer is not just “yes.” It is:
- Prescription already in hand: Amazon Pharmacy may be a clean, fast place to fill it.
- No prescription and paying cash: Amazon One Medical may be able to start one if you pass its screen.
- No prescription and trying to use insurance: Use your own clinician, an insurance-billable One Medical Scheduled Visit where available, or a telehealth service that handles prior authorization paperwork.
The 20-second answer
| Your question | The short answer |
|---|---|
| Does Amazon Pharmacy have Wegovy? | Yes—pills and pens. |
| Which doses? | All 10 current strengths are listed: four pill strengths and six pen strengths. |
| Do I need a prescription? | Yes. Always. |
| Can Amazon prescribe it? | Amazon Pharmacy cannot. Amazon One Medical can evaluate eligible cash-pay adults for a new prescription. |
| What does it cost without insurance? | $149–$399 a month, depending on dose and offer eligibility. |
| What about the $199 price? | Amazon currently shows it on the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg starter pens for eligible new patients, for up to two monthly fills. |
| What about insurance? | Eligible commercially insured patients may pay as little as $25, with a maximum manufacturer savings benefit of $100 per month. |
| What about Medicare? | Eligible Part D members pay $50 through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. Strict clinical rules apply. |
| Is my exact dose in stock? | It depends on your dose and ZIP code. A listing is not the same as live stock. |
| Do I need Prime? | No. |
| How fast is delivery? | Same-day is available by medication and ZIP. Amazon says delivery is typically 1–4 days elsewhere after pharmacist review. |
Best for you if…
- You already have a Wegovy prescription and you are tired of your pharmacy saying, “We don’t have that strength.”
- You want it delivered instead of driving to a counter.
- You have commercial insurance and want to see your copay and the cash price side by side before you decide.
- You are on Medicare Part D and may qualify for the $50 Bridge price.
- You need a new prescription, plan to pay cash, and fit Amazon One Medical’s age, lab, and health screen.
Not for you if…
- You need an On-Demand clinician to fight an insurance prior authorization. Amazon says that lane does not do it.
- You would accept a 12-month subscription term and a separate care fee to lower the drug-only price to $249 a month. Amazon does not show that subscription on its current listings.
- You need the medication in your hands today and same-day delivery is not available for your ZIP.
- You need delivery to a P.O. box, APO/FPO/DPO address, Amazon Locker, or pickup point.
- You need a 60- or 90-day fill through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. The Bridge only allows one 28- or 30-day supply per fill.
Prescription in hand? Pull it out, find the exact strength, then check that strength and your ZIP code on Amazon Pharmacy. It takes about a minute and tells you what no article can: whether Amazon can ship your dose to your address.
No prescription and paying cash? See Amazon One Medical Weight Loss Care and read the eligibility screen before you pay. Care, medication, and lab costs are separate.
The right GLP-1 path is not the same for everyone. It depends on your state, insurance and formulary, whether you want an FDA-approved or compounded medication, your preferred treatment path, and your budget. Use The RX Index’s Find My GLP-1 Path tool to get a personalized provider match with source-verified pricing before you choose.
Which Wegovy doses does Amazon Pharmacy carry?
Amazon Pharmacy lists all ten current Wegovy strengths: four tablet doses—1.5 mg, 4 mg, 9 mg, and 25 mg—and six injection pen doses—0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg, 2.4 mg, and 7.2 mg. A listing means Amazon supports that strength. It does not promise that the dose can ship to your address today.
Here is the table we built. It puts Amazon’s live listing, the FDA-labeled dosing stage, and the current manufacturer cash path in one place. You would normally need about nine browser tabs to assemble this.
Wegovy pills taken once a day
| Strength | When it is used under the FDA label | Amazon listing checked | Cash price verified August 13, 2026 | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.5 mg | Days 1–30; starting dose | Amazon listing | $149/month | This is the usual starting dose. |
| 4 mg | Days 31–60 | Amazon listing | $149/month through August 31, 2026; then $199 | Novo says this price changes after August 31, 2026. |
| 9 mg | Days 61–90 | Amazon listing | $299/month | The cash price jumps by $100 from the scheduled 4 mg price. |
| 25 mg | Day 91 onward; recommended maintenance dose | Amazon listing | $299/month | This is the FDA-labeled maintenance dose for adult weight reduction and cardiovascular risk reduction. |
The pill normally moves up every 30 days, but a prescriber can delay an increase if a dose is not tolerated.
Novo’s instructions are exact: take the tablet in the morning on an empty stomach with no more than 4 ounces of water. Swallow it whole. Do not split, crush, chew, or dissolve it. Then wait at least 30 minutes before food, any other drink, or any other pill.
That last rule surprises people. If you cannot protect that 30-minute window most mornings, the pen may fit your life better.
Wegovy pens taken once a week
| Strength | When it is used under the FDA label | Amazon listing checked | Cash price verified August 13, 2026 | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.25 mg | Weeks 1–4; starting dose | Amazon listing | $199 for an eligible new patient’s first starter fill; otherwise $349 | Intro pricing is limited by the manufacturer’s rules. |
| 0.5 mg | Weeks 5–8 | Amazon listing | $199 for an eligible new patient’s second starter fill; otherwise $349 | This is normally the second and final $199 fill. |
| 1 mg | Weeks 9–12 | Amazon listing | $349/month | Intro pricing is over by this step. |
| 1.7 mg | Weeks 13–16; may also be a maintenance dose | Amazon listing | $349/month | Some adults stay at 1.7 mg based on response and tolerance. |
| 2.4 mg | Recommended maintenance dose for adult weight reduction | Amazon listing | $349/month | This is the usual recommended maintenance dose. |
| 7.2 mg Wegovy HD | Adults only, after at least 4 weeks at 2.4 mg, when a clinician decides more weight reduction is needed | Amazon listing | $399/month | Not a starting dose. It was not part of Novo’s multi-month subscription at the March launch. |
The pen normally moves up every 4 weeks. Your prescriber decides the pace—not this table, and definitely not the price.
Why this matters more than it sounds: stock for one strength tells you nothing about the next. Searching “Wegovy” on Amazon is not enough. Search the exact strength written on your prescription, then enter your ZIP code.
Can I switch between the Wegovy pill and pen?
The FDA label allows a switch, but only on a specific schedule:
- 2.4 mg pen to 25 mg pill: stop the 2.4 mg injection, then start the 25 mg tablet one week later.
- 25 mg pill to 2.4 mg pen: start the 2.4 mg injection the day after the last 25 mg tablet.
- If 25 mg tablets are not tolerated: the label says the prescriber may consider switching to the 1.7 mg injection.
That is the answer to “Amazon has the pill but not my pen.” It is a conversation with your prescriber, not a decision you make in a shopping cart.
Have your prescription in hand? Search your exact strength on Amazon Pharmacy and enter your delivery ZIP. Do not judge stock from a different dose.
How much does Wegovy cost through Amazon Pharmacy?
As of August 13, 2026, Amazon shows Wegovy pills at $149 to $299 per month and Wegovy pens at $199 to $399 per month without insurance, depending on dose and offer eligibility. Eligible commercially insured patients may pay as little as $25. Eligible Medicare Part D members pay $50 through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge.
Amazon shows two numbers on the same product page, and the gap between them is enormous. Here is what each number means.
| Number you may see | Where it comes from | What it actually means |
|---|---|---|
| About $1,349 | Amazon’s displayed retail price | The price before the manufacturer cash offer or coupon is applied. |
| $149 | Novo’s self-pay offer | Wegovy pills at 1.5 mg and, through August 31, 2026, 4 mg. |
| $199 | Novo’s limited new-patient offer | Up to the first two monthly fills of the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg starter pens for eligible new patients. Amazon currently shows this price on those listings. |
| $299 | Novo’s self-pay offer | Wegovy pills at 9 mg and 25 mg. |
| $349 | Novo’s standard self-pay offer | Wegovy pens from 0.25 mg through 2.4 mg when the $199 intro offer does not apply or has ended. |
| $399 | Novo’s self-pay offer | Wegovy HD 7.2 mg. |
| As little as $25 | Commercial insurance plus Novo savings offer | Only for eligible commercially insured patients with Wegovy coverage; maximum manufacturer savings is $100 per month. |
| $50 | Medicare GLP-1 Bridge | Eligible Medicare Part D members only. No coupon stacking. |
| $249 | Novo’s 12-month subscription through select telehealth platforms | Lower drug-only price for eligible self-pay patients, with a 12-month subscription term and separate platform care fees. Amazon does not show this plan. |
Why Amazon shows about $1,349 and a much lower cash price
The roughly $1,349 number is the retail price Amazon displays before the manufacturer program is applied. The $149, $199, $299, $349, or $399 number is the price after the applicable Novo Nordisk cash offer.
That is the whole difference. It is not an Amazon-made discount. It is the drugmaker’s national program, and Amazon is one of the pharmacies that applies eligible manufacturer coupons automatically at checkout.
“Amazon shows $199—what is the catch?”
This one comes up constantly, and there is a real answer.
The $199 price is Novo Nordisk’s limited new-patient offer, and Amazon is currently running it on its own 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg listings. You do not have to leave Amazon to get that price if you qualify.
Under Novo’s current terms:
- You must be new to the Wegovy Savings Offer or NovoCare Pharmacy.
- It applies to the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg starter pens.
- It covers no more than two monthly fills.
- It is scheduled to run through December 31, 2026.
- After the two eligible fills, the standard price is $349 a month.
The original trap was assuming every Amazon Wegovy pen costs $349 from day one. That is no longer true for eligible new patients. The current starter listings show $199.
The date to put on your calendar
The 4 mg Wegovy pill is scheduled to go from $149 to $199 after August 31, 2026. That is Novo’s offer deadline, not an Amazon-only change.
The price shown at checkout controls. Novo reserves the right to change or cancel its offers, so anyone filling the 4 mg dose near the end of August should check the product page again before paying.
Before you pay anything, see both numbers. Amazon shows your insurance estimate and the lowest price without insurance once your information is loaded. Add your insurance and compare the two prices on Amazon Pharmacy. You can look before you order.
Is Amazon the cheapest place to get Wegovy?
No. Amazon is not the lowest drug-only cash path for every patient. Eligible self-pay patients can lower standard Wegovy pen pricing to $249 a month through Novo Nordisk’s 12-month subscription at select telehealth platforms. Amazon does not show that subscription on its current Wegovy listings.
We are telling you this in the first half of the page because everything else we say is worth more if we are willing to say this.
In March 2026, Novo Nordisk launched multi-month subscription prices through select telehealth providers:
- 3 months: $329 per month for pens from 0.25 mg through 2.4 mg
- 6 months: $299 per month
- 12 months: $249 per month
Wegovy HD 7.2 mg was not included at launch. The telehealth platform’s clinical-care fee is also separate, and the exact payment and cancellation terms vary by platform.
If that is your priority, take the subscription. Go get the $249.
But do the full math, not just the number in the ad.
The first-year math nobody puts beside Amazon
This comparison assumes a patient stays on doses from 0.25 mg through 2.4 mg and does not move to Wegovy HD:
| First-year path | Drug-only first-year cost | Difference from a $249/month subscription | What is not included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon, eligible for both $199 starter fills, then $349 | $3,888 | $900 more | Any clinician or lab cost |
| Amazon, not eligible for the starter offer, $349 all year | $4,188 | $1,200 more | Any clinician or lab cost |
| 12-month manufacturer subscription, $249/month | $2,988 | — | Separate telehealth care fee; 12-month term |
That is the real trade: Amazon gives you month-to-month flexibility. The subscription gives you the lower drug-only price.
For someone starting a medicine they have never taken, that flexibility is worth something. You may get insurance approval. Your prescriber may switch the form or dose. You may decide the side effects are not worth it. A 12-month price only wins if the full contract and care fee still make sense for you.
Same FDA-approved Wegovy, three cash paths
| Where | Medication price | Commitment | Clinical care included? | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Pharmacy | $199 starter offer if eligible; then $349 for 0.25–2.4 mg; $399 for HD | None shown | No | Not the lowest long-term drug-only price |
| NovoCare Pharmacy | Same current manufacturer offer structure | None shown | No | You still need a prescription and separate care |
| Select telehealth subscription | $329, $299, or $249/month for 0.25–2.4 mg | 3, 6, or 12 months | Platform-specific and usually billed separately | Terms vary; HD was not included at launch |
If the lowest drug-only monthly price is what you are after, do not use Amazon—and do not use us to get there. Compare the full picture in our cheapest Wegovy without insurance guide, including care fees and commitment terms.
Do I need a prescription, and can Amazon prescribe Wegovy?
Yes, you need a prescription. Amazon Pharmacy fills prescriptions; it does not write them. Amazon One Medical is a separate clinical service that can now evaluate eligible adults for a new Wegovy prescription through cash-pay On-Demand Weight Loss Care. That On-Demand path does not support insurance prior authorizations.
This is the section people actually need, and the answer changed.
The old Amazon GLP-1 message-and-video lane was framed around prescription renewals. Amazon’s current Weight Loss Care page now says a licensed clinician can assess you, make a treatment plan, and prescribe a starter dose when appropriate. So “Amazon cannot start Wegovy” is no longer accurate.
The new split is cash versus insurance paperwork.
Four doors to a Wegovy prescription Amazon can fill
| Door | Who it is for | Care cost | Can it write a new prescription? | Can it handle an insurance PA? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Your own clinician | Anyone with a doctor or qualified prescriber | Your normal visit cost or copay | Yes | Often yes, depending on the office |
| 2. Amazon One Medical On-Demand Weight Loss Care | Eligible cash-pay adults ages 18–64 who pass Amazon’s clinical screen | From $39; medication and labs separate | Yes, if appropriate | No |
| 3. Amazon One Medical Scheduled Visit | People near a One Medical office who want insurance-billable care | Copay, deductible, or visit charge varies | Yes, if appropriate | May include labs and PA support |
| 4. Outside telehealth with pharmacy choice or insurance support | People who want broader insurance help, a chosen clinician, or a different care model | Membership or visit fee | Yes, if appropriate | Depends on the provider; Ro and Sesame state that they help |
Door 2: Amazon One Medical’s honest version
Amazon says its online Weight Loss Care may fit you when all of these are true:
- You are 18 to 64.
- You have a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related health problem, under Amazon’s stated screen.
- You can provide or obtain lab work showing kidney function and blood sugar levels.
- You do not have diabetes under Amazon’s stated screen.
- You are not pregnant, nursing, trying to conceive now, or planning pregnancy within two months.
- The service is available in your state.
Care starts at $39. Medication and lab work are not included. A clinician decides whether any drug is appropriate. If prescribed, Amazon says the prescription can be sent to your preferred pharmacy, including Amazon Pharmacy.
The damaging admission: this is not the lane to choose when insurance approval is the whole battle. Amazon tells people seeking insurance coverage to work with a primary care provider or an insurance-billable Scheduled Visit. On-Demand Weight Loss Care does not do the PA.
Paying cash and fit the screen? Check Amazon One Medical Weight Loss Care. Read the age, lab, diabetes, pregnancy, and state limits before you pay.
Door 4: insurance help without pretending it is free
If you do not have a prescription and you want a team attached to the insurance fight, Ro is one path worth comparing.
What Ro states on its own pages as of August 13, 2026:
- Membership: $39 for the first month, then $149 per month, or as low as $74 per month with an annual plan paid upfront. Medication is separate.
- Insurance concierge: Ro says it checks coverage, submits prior authorization paperwork, coordinates with the insurer, and may appeal a denial.
- Free coverage checker: no charge to run it. It currently checks coverage for the Wegovy pen, Zepbound auto-injector pen, and Ozempic pen. It does not currently check the Wegovy pill.
- Fulfillment split: Ro says cash-pay medication ships to your door. When insurance covers the medication, the prescription is sent to a pharmacy.
Now the part most affiliate pages leave out. A free coverage report is not a prescription, a prior authorization, or a guarantee. Ro says it contacts your plan for benefit details. You still need clinical care, and the membership does not include the medicine.
Need to know whether your plan covers the Wegovy pen? Start with the free part. Check my Wegovy pen coverage free on Ro (sponsored affiliate link; Ro says the report is free and no treatment request is submitted)
Sesame is the other clear fork when choosing your own provider matters more than having one assigned.
Sesame states that its weight-loss program costs $99 month to month or as low as $59 per month with an annual plan. Medication is separate. You choose a provider, meet by video, get ongoing messaging, and can have a prescription sent to the pharmacy of your choice if the provider decides it is appropriate. Sesame also says its providers help with insurance prior authorization paperwork.
Want to choose the clinician you see? See Sesame’s current weight-loss visit options (sponsored affiliate link; program fee and medication are separate)
What about compounded semaglutide?
Amazon Pharmacy says it does not dispense compounded medications.
Compounded semaglutide is not Wegovy, is not a generic Wegovy, and is not FDA-approved. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Compounding can serve a real medical need, but it must not be blurred with an FDA-approved product.
So if a telehealth company prescribes a compounded semaglutide product, that prescription cannot be filled by Amazon Pharmacy. Not a rule we invented—Amazon’s rule.
How do I get my Wegovy prescription to Amazon Pharmacy?
There are two main ways: have your prescriber send a new prescription directly to Amazon, or ask Amazon to transfer an eligible prescription from your current pharmacy. Amazon says direct electronic prescribing is the fastest option.
Five steps, start to finish:
- Create your Amazon Pharmacy profile. It is free. Prime is not required. You will answer the pharmacy intake questions.
- Add your insurance before comparing prices. Amazon can then show an insurance estimate beside the lowest price without insurance.
- Search your exact strength. Do not stop at “Wegovy.” Enter the dose and delivery ZIP.
- Get the prescription there. Ask your prescriber to e-prescribe it, or request a transfer from your Amazon Pharmacy account. Amazon contacts the current pharmacy for the transfer.
- Check the final strength, price, quantity, and delivery date before confirming. The final checkout screen matters more than a public price page.
Why a prescriber may not find Amazon—and the one-minute fix
Amazon says its provider directory comes from Surescripts. That directory can help a patient find a prescriber, but a clinic sending a prescription should use Amazon’s exact e-prescribe name, fax, or prescriber line.
Hand your doctor’s office this:
Send my prescription to Amazon Pharmacy E-prescribe name: Amazon.com – Amazon Pharmacy Nationwide Home Delivery Fax: 512-884-5981 Address: 4500 S Pleasant Valley Rd, Suite 201, Austin, TX 78744 Do not mail a paper prescription to that address. Prescriber line: 855-206-3605 Hours: 8 a.m.–9 p.m. ET weekdays; 10 a.m.–8 p.m. ET weekends
Print it. Screenshot it. Text it to yourself. If the exact e-prescribe name does not appear, the office can fax the prescription or call Amazon’s prescriber line.
Will my insurance, Medicare, HSA, or FSA work at Amazon Pharmacy?
Amazon Pharmacy accepts most insurance plans, automatically applies eligible manufacturer coupons, and accepts HSA and FSA cards for eligible purchases. Prime is not required. Insurance acceptance does not mean your plan covers Wegovy.
Commercial insurance
Amazon takes most plans. But “accepts your insurance” and “your insurance covers Wegovy” are two completely different things.
Your plan can be accepted and still say no because:
- Wegovy is not on the plan’s drug list.
- Weight-loss drugs are excluded.
- A prior authorization is required.
- You have not met your deductible.
- The plan requires a different pharmacy or step therapy first.
With eligible commercial coverage plus Novo’s savings offer, Wegovy can cost as little as $25 a month. Read the fine print because it is the part everyone skips: the offer provides no more than $100 in savings per month.
That means:
- If your covered copay is $60, the offer can bring it to $25.
- If your covered copay is $400, a $100 maximum benefit would leave $300.
- If your plan does not cover Wegovy, this commercial copay benefit is not the path. The separate self-pay offer may still apply if you meet its rules.
Who is excluded from the commercial $25 offer?
The $25 insured copay offer is only for people with eligible commercial insurance that covers Wegovy. It cannot be run through Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Department of Defense, or TRICARE. That rule applies at every pharmacy, not just Amazon.
Novo has a separate self-pay offer for people paying outside insurance. Its current terms allow some government-insured patients to use that cash path only when the prescription is processed outside the government plan, no reimbursement is requested, and the cost is not counted toward a deductible or out-of-pocket limit. Amazon’s checkout decides whether that cash offer can be applied there. For an eligible Part D member, compare it with the $50 Bridge instead of assuming the $25 insured price applies.
HSA and FSA
Amazon accepts HSA and FSA cards for eligible purchases, and its Wegovy listings are marked HSA/FSA eligible.
Check your available balance and selected payment method before confirming a $149–$399 order. HSA/FSA eligibility does not change whether a prescription is medically appropriate or whether an insurer covers it.
Do I need Prime?
No. Amazon Pharmacy is free to use. Prime may add delivery or cash-price benefits on some medicines, but it is not required to fill Wegovy. Amazon also states that no Prime membership is required for the Medicare Bridge.
Manufacturer coupons cannot be combined with the Amazon Prime prescription savings benefit. Amazon should show the available price paths before checkout so you can choose.
Pick your payment path
| Your situation | First thing to check | The limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial insurance | Load your plan and compare copay with cash | Coverage and PA rules vary by plan |
| Commercial insurance plus savings offer | Confirm the coupon applied | Maximum manufacturer savings is $100 per month |
| Commercial plan does not cover Wegovy | Compare the separate self-pay price | You are not getting insurance coverage; you are paying cash |
| Paying cash | Starter-offer eligibility, dose price, and subscription math | Offers have dose, date, and patient rules |
| Medicare Part D | Bridge clinical eligibility and prescription purpose | The $50 Bridge cannot be reduced by a coupon; self-pay runs outside Part D |
| HSA/FSA | Eligible item, available balance, and payment method | It does not create insurance coverage |
| Prime member | Best available cash path versus insurance | Prime savings cannot stack with the manufacturer coupon |
Can Medicare patients really get Wegovy for $50 through Amazon?
Yes, if they qualify. Amazon Pharmacy announced participation on August 6, 2026. The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge gives eligible Medicare Part D members Wegovy injections and tablets for a flat $50 per monthly fill. The program began July 1, 2026 and is scheduled to run through December 31, 2027.
This is the newest thing on this page, and it is a genuinely big deal for anyone on Part D who has been priced out.
It is also much narrower than “everyone on Medicare gets Wegovy for $50.”
First, your Medicare plan must qualify
CMS includes stand-alone Part D drug plans and most Medicare Advantage plans that include Part D drug coverage. Special Needs Plans, employer or union Part D plans, and the LI NET program can also qualify.
PACE, Medicare private fee-for-service plans, cost plans, health care prepayment plans, fallback plans, and religious fraternal benefit plans do not qualify unless the person is also enrolled in an eligible stand-alone Part D plan. People who have both Medicare and Medicaid may qualify when their Part D plan and clinical facts meet the rules.
The Medicare Bridge clinical rules
A prescriber must attest that Wegovy is being used to reduce and maintain body weight with ongoing nutrition and physical activity. The patient must be at least 18 and meet one of these paths based on BMI when GLP-1 therapy started:
| Clinical path | What CMS requires |
|---|---|
| BMI 35 or higher | No extra diagnosis from the Bridge list is required. |
| BMI 30 or higher | Plus heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, uncontrolled high blood pressure despite two blood-pressure medicines, or chronic kidney disease stage 3a or higher. |
| BMI 27 or higher | Plus prediabetes, a previous heart attack, a previous stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease. |
BMI means body mass index. CMS uses the BMI at the time GLP-1 treatment began. A person who started at BMI 37 and is now at BMI 34 may still meet the BMI-35 path if the prescriber can attest to the starting value.
Who gets routed to Part D instead of the Bridge?
The Bridge is for a weight-management prescription. CMS says people using a GLP-1 for certain Part D-covered indications should use their Part D plan instead.
That includes prescriptions tied to:
- Type 2 diabetes
- Moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea
- Noncirrhotic MASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis
Cardiovascular disease is more exact. A previous heart attack, stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease can help a patient meet the BMI-27 Bridge path when the drug is being prescribed for weight management. If Wegovy is being prescribed to reduce major cardiovascular events, that prescription should be routed through Part D instead.
What Amazon covers through the Bridge
- Included: all Wegovy injection and tablet formulations, Zepbound KwikPen, and Foundayo, when used under the Bridge rules for weight management
- Not included through this Bridge list: Ozempic and Mounjaro
- Fill size: one 28- or 30-day supply at a time
- Not allowed: 60- or 90-day Bridge fills
- Cost: $50 per approved monthly fill
- Delivery: free home delivery through Amazon; no Prime required
The CMS rule saying separate pen needles are not covered applies to Zepbound KwikPen. It is not a separate-needle warning for the listed Wegovy single-dose pens.
What happens after the prescription is sent?
Amazon says it automates much of the eligibility, prior authorization, and billing flow. Your prescriber still has a job.
The CMS sequence is:
- Your clinician sends the prescription to the pharmacy.
- The pharmacy sends a Bridge claim and starts the PA request.
- CMS says the PA request usually reaches the prescriber electronically or by fax within 24–72 hours.
- The prescriber completes the form and attests that the rules are met.
- CMS says the approval or denial is sent within 72 hours after the completed PA is submitted.
Do not have the prescriber send the Bridge PA before the pharmacy runs the first claim. CMS says an early PA can fail with a “patient not found” error.
Five things to plan around
- You still need a clinician. Amazon Pharmacy cannot write the prescription, and the prescriber must complete the Bridge attestation.
- No coupon stacking. Manufacturer coupons and discount programs cannot reduce the $50 copay.
- The $50 sits outside the normal Part D payment flow. The Part D deductible does not apply, the $50 does not count toward true out-of-pocket costs, and the low-income subsidy does not lower it.
- There is no formal Bridge appeal. If information was wrong or new information is available, a prescriber may submit the PA again.
- The program ends December 31, 2027 unless CMS changes it. An approval is valid through that date unless the patient switches to a different covered GLP-1 and needs a new PA.
We have deliberately put no commercial offer in this section. The $25 insured offer cannot run through Medicare, and Novo’s separate self-pay path runs outside Medicare without reimbursement or Part D out-of-pocket credit. For an eligible Bridge patient, $50 is lower than the current Wegovy self-pay prices.
How fast does Amazon deliver Wegovy, and will the pen arrive cold?
Amazon Pharmacy delivers to physical addresses in all 50 states. Its August 2026 Medicare announcement says same-day delivery is available in more than 3,100 cities and towns. Amazon’s delivery page says orders outside same-day areas are typically delivered in 1–4 days after pharmacist review. Wegovy injections use refrigerated packaging; tablets are stored at room temperature.

- Same-day: available by medication and ZIP in more than 3,100 U.S. cities and towns, according to Amazon’s August 6 announcement
- Outside same-day areas: Amazon says delivery is typically 1–4 days
- First order of a new medicine: same-day delivery is free where eligible
- Prime same-day refill: Amazon currently lists a $2.99 same-day refill option where eligible
- Medicare Bridge: free home delivery; no Prime membership required
- Final answer: the medication page gives the personalized delivery estimate after your ZIP is entered
Where Amazon will not ship
Amazon Pharmacy delivers to physical addresses. It does not ship prescriptions to:
- P.O. boxes
- APO, FPO, or DPO military addresses
- Amazon Lockers
- Other pickup points
If that is you, Amazon home delivery is out. Use a pharmacy that offers a physical counter or another supported address.
The cold-pack question
Wegovy single-dose pens are normally stored in a refrigerator at 36°F to 46°F. Amazon says refrigerated medicines ship separately in packaging designed to keep them at a safe temperature.
We are not going to promise you the gel pack always arrives frozen, because Amazon says it is not designed to arrive frozen. Condensation or a melted gel pack alone does not prove the medicine was damaged.
The FDA label gives a more useful rule:
- Before the cap is removed, a Wegovy single-dose pen may be kept at 46°F to 86°F for up to 28 days.
- Keep it in the original carton and protect it from light.
- Do not use it if it has been frozen.
Open the box the day it arrives. If the package is damaged, the pen was frozen, it may have gone above 86°F, it may have been outside refrigeration for more than 28 days, or you cannot tell what happened in transit, contact an Amazon pharmacist before using it. Amazon says licensed pharmacists are available 24/7.
What about the Wegovy pill?
The tablets do not need refrigeration. The FDA label says to store them at controlled room temperature, 68°F to 77°F, with permitted short trips from 59°F to 86°F. Keep them dry and in the original bottle until use.
Can I pick up Wegovy from an Amazon kiosk?
Here is a spot where two Amazon pages look like they disagree, and we can resolve the useful part.
Amazon’s current kiosk FAQ says the pilot is at select One Medical clinics in the Los Angeles area and is tied to an in-person appointment. It also says kiosks do not hold refrigerated medicines “such as Wegovy.” Amazon’s August 2026 Medicare announcement separately says newly approved Wegovy oral pills are dispensed at select kiosks.
Both can be true:
- Wegovy pill: Amazon says the oral product may be dispensed at select participating kiosks.
- Wegovy pen: the pen needs refrigerated handling and is not a kiosk product under Amazon’s FAQ.
For nearly everyone outside a participating Los Angeles-area One Medical clinic, kiosk pickup is not a real option. Mail delivery is.
What if my dose is out of stock?
- Do not switch strengths on your own. Do not move up, move down, or split a dose because a different listing is available.
- Ask Amazon for the current delivery estimate for the exact strength.
- Ask your prescriber whether waiting, transferring, or switching form is medically appropriate.
- If changing between pen and pill, follow the FDA-labeled switch schedule—not a price table or forum post.
Why does Amazon’s own website say Wegovy is limited or in shortage?
Amazon currently has live Wegovy product listings for all ten strengths, but some Amazon help pages still use broad GLP-1 shortage or existing-customer language. Those pages are not a live stock check for your dose and ZIP.
If you searched this question because something on Amazon’s site made you doubt it, this is why.
| Amazon or federal source | What it says | What it proves |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Wegovy product listings | All ten current strengths have product pages and current cash-price displays. | Amazon supports those products; it does not prove today’s stock for every ZIP. |
| Amazon’s August 6, 2026 Medicare announcement | Wegovy injections and pills are available through Amazon for eligible Bridge patients. | Both forms are part of Amazon’s current pharmacy program. |
| Amazon GLP-1 help pages | Some still say Amazon is handling shortages, filling as inventory appears, or prioritizing existing customers for some brands. | Amazon may still have dose-by-dose limits; the language is broader than the live listings. |
| FDA shortage determination | The national semaglutide injection shortage was resolved in February 2025. FDA later said local supply disruptions may still happen as products move through the supply chain. | A national shortage can be over while your exact local or mail-order fill is delayed. |
Read the pages in the wrong order and you would swear Amazon cannot sell you Wegovy.
We are not knocking Amazon for it. Help centers go stale, and supply can change faster than an article. The practical instruction matters:
Check the exact product listing and ZIP-specific delivery estimate, not a general help article. The listing is what your checkout path runs on.
Is Amazon Pharmacy a good place to fill Wegovy?
Amazon Pharmacy works best for someone who has a prescription, wants home delivery, and wants insurance and cash prices shown before checkout. It is a weaker fit for someone who needs in-person pickup, needs a cash-pay On-Demand clinician to handle a PA, or wants the lowest long-term drug-only price and accepts a multi-month subscription term.
Find yourself in this table. Every row goes somewhere.
| If this is you | Do this |
|---|---|
| Prescription in hand, commercial insurance | Send it to Amazon and compare the final copay with the cash price before confirming. |
| Prescription in hand, paying cash, first two starter fills | Check whether the $199 new-patient offer appears and whether you meet its terms. |
| Prescription in hand, paying cash, established patient | Amazon is $349 for 0.25–2.4 mg or $399 for HD; price the 12-month subscription first. |
| No prescription, paying cash, age 18–64 | Check Amazon One Medical’s clinical screen and state availability. |
| No prescription, trying to use insurance | Use your own clinician, a Scheduled Visit, or a provider with PA support. |
| Medicare Part D | Check the Bridge BMI, diagnosis, and prescription-purpose rules before assuming you qualify. |
| Need it today | Check same-day by ZIP; if unavailable, use a retail counter. |
| Lowest drug-only price is the only priority | Compare the $249 12-month subscription, including the platform’s separate care fee and exact cancellation terms. |
| P.O. box or military address | Amazon cannot ship there. Use retail pickup or another supported address. |
What customer reviews can—and cannot—tell you
Amazon publishes a testimonial from a customer named Kathleen F. who describes ordering and home delivery as easy and fast.
That is a selected company testimonial, not a random sample, a satisfaction survey, or proof that every refrigerated order arrives on time. We did not use it to verify stock, delivery speed, cold-chain performance, or customer support.
We also did not use a forum comment as proof that Wegovy “always arrives cold.” One person’s box cannot prove what will happen to yours.
The honest read: Amazon gives you transparent price paths, home delivery, and 24/7 pharmacist access. What it cannot give you is a counter you can walk up to. If you want a local pharmacist standing in front of you when an order goes wrong, that physical counter has value.
What should I know about Wegovy before I order?
Wegovy is an FDA-approved prescription medicine with a boxed warning, contraindications, and serious risks. It should be used only under a licensed clinician’s care. The FDA label says using it with another semaglutide product or another GLP-1 medicine is not recommended.
We are a pricing and access resource, not your doctor. But you should not order a medicine without knowing these.
Do not use Wegovy if you have
- A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, a rare thyroid cancer
- Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2
- A prior serious allergic reaction to semaglutide or any Wegovy ingredient
Wegovy carries a boxed warning, the FDA’s strongest warning format, because semaglutide caused thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents. It is not known whether Wegovy causes those tumors in humans.
Do not double up
The FDA label says using Wegovy tablets or injections with another semaglutide-containing product or another GLP-1 receptor agonist is not recommended.
Tell the prescriber about every medicine you take before starting.
Important reasons to get help
Get emergency help for trouble breathing or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Contact your clinician for severe or lasting stomach pain, repeated vomiting, signs of dehydration, gallbladder symptoms, new or worse vision changes if you have diabetes, or a racing heartbeat that does not stop.
Wegovy is not recommended for people with severe gastroparesis, which means the stomach empties very slowly.
Wegovy also delays stomach emptying. That can affect how some oral medicines are absorbed. Your clinician may need to watch medicines that require an exact blood level.
Pregnancy and procedures
For weight reduction or cardiovascular risk reduction, the FDA label says Wegovy should be stopped at least two months before a planned pregnancy because semaglutide stays in the body for a long time. Tell your clinician right away if you become pregnant.
Tell every surgery, endoscopy, anesthesia, or deep-sedation team that you take Wegovy. The label reports rare cases of stomach contents being aspirated during anesthesia or deep sedation even after patients followed fasting instructions.
Read the full FDA-approved Wegovy Prescribing Information and Medication Guide before use. This price guide is not a replacement for it.
What we actually verified
Every price on this page came from Amazon’s own listings or Novo Nordisk’s current offer terms. Drug forms and dosing were checked against the current FDA-approved label. Medicare rules came from CMS, not from an affiliate page.

What we could not confirm for you
- Your live availability. Stock is specific to strength and ZIP. Only the product page can answer it.
- Your exact checkout price. It depends on dose, insurance, deductible, coupon rules, and the prescription on file.
- Whether Novo will keep every offer through its stated end date. Novo reserves the right to change or cancel programs.
- How your shipment will perform. We did not buy Wegovy through Amazon, time a shipment, or test the cold packaging.
- Whether a clinician will prescribe it. That requires an individual medical assessment.
We also did not have a clinician review this page, and we are not going to claim we did.
Who made this and why: The RX Index Research Team built this page because Amazon’s Wegovy information is spread across ten product listings, a pricing page, a delivery page, One Medical care pages, a Medicare announcement, kiosk rules, and broad help articles that do not line up cleanly. We put the decision facts in one place, dated them, linked the primary sources, and said what we did not test.
Frequently asked questions
Does Amazon Pharmacy have Wegovy in stock?
Amazon lists all ten current Wegovy strengths, but a listing is not a stock promise for your address. Search the exact strength and enter your ZIP code for the current delivery estimate.
Does Amazon Pharmacy have the Wegovy pill?
Yes. Amazon lists all four FDA-approved tablet strengths: 1.5 mg, 4 mg, 9 mg, and 25 mg.
Does Amazon Pharmacy have Wegovy injections?
Yes. Amazon lists six pen strengths, from the 0.25 mg starter dose through the 7.2 mg Wegovy HD pen.
How much is Wegovy on Amazon Pharmacy without insurance?
As of August 13, 2026, pills are $149 at 1.5 mg and 4 mg, with the 4 mg price scheduled to rise to $199 after August 31. Pills are $299 at 9 mg and 25 mg. Eligible new patients may pay $199 for up to two starter-pen fills at 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg. Standard pen pricing is $349 for 0.25–2.4 mg, and Wegovy HD 7.2 mg is $399.
Why does Amazon show Wegovy for $199?
That is Novo Nordisk’s limited new-patient offer. It applies to eligible patients new to the Wegovy Savings Offer or NovoCare Pharmacy, for up to two monthly fills of the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg starter pens through December 31, 2026. Amazon currently shows it on both starter listings.
Why does Amazon show about $1,349 and a lower price on the same page?
About $1,349 is the retail price Amazon displays before the manufacturer offer. The lower number is the eligible coupon-adjusted cash price.
Can Amazon Pharmacy prescribe Wegovy?
No. Amazon Pharmacy fills prescriptions. Amazon One Medical is the separate clinical service that can evaluate eligible cash-pay adults for a new prescription. Its On-Demand Weight Loss Care does not support insurance prior authorizations.
Who qualifies for Amazon One Medical Weight Loss Care?
Amazon currently screens for adults ages 18–64 who meet GLP-1 criteria, can provide kidney and blood-sugar lab results, do not have diabetes under its stated screen, and are not pregnant, nursing, or planning pregnancy within two months. State availability and clinician judgment also apply.
Can I transfer my Wegovy prescription to Amazon Pharmacy?
Yes. Request the transfer from your Amazon Pharmacy account and Amazon will contact your current pharmacy. Amazon says having the prescriber e-prescribe directly is the fastest option.
Does Amazon Pharmacy take insurance for Wegovy?
Amazon accepts most insurance plans. Whether your plan covers Wegovy is separate. Many plans exclude weight-loss drugs or require prior authorization.
Can Medicare patients get Wegovy through Amazon?
Yes. Eligible Medicare Part D members pay $50 per approved monthly fill through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. The Bridge has strict BMI, diagnosis, plan-type, and prescription-purpose rules and is scheduled to run through December 31, 2027.
Can I use a Wegovy coupon with Medicare?
Not on a Medicare claim or the $50 Bridge. Novo’s current self-pay terms separately allow some government-insured patients to buy Wegovy outside Medicare. In that cash path, the claim cannot go through Medicare, be reimbursed, or count toward a deductible or true out-of-pocket costs. Amazon checkout must confirm whether the self-pay offer is available to you.
Can I use HSA or FSA money on Amazon Pharmacy?
Yes. Amazon accepts HSA and FSA cards for eligible purchases, and its Wegovy product listings are marked eligible.
Do I need Amazon Prime to get Wegovy?
No. Prime is not required to use Amazon Pharmacy or receive the Medicare Bridge price.
How fast does Amazon deliver Wegovy?
Amazon says same-day delivery is available by medication and ZIP in more than 3,100 cities and towns. Its delivery page says orders outside same-day areas are typically delivered in 1–4 days after pharmacist review.
Will the Wegovy pen arrive cold?
Amazon says refrigerated medicines ship separately in packaging designed for a safe temperature. The gel pack is not designed to arrive frozen. Check the package at arrival and contact a pharmacist if it was damaged, frozen, may have exceeded 86°F, or you cannot tell whether the FDA storage limits were met.
Can I pick up Wegovy at an Amazon kiosk?
Amazon’s August 2026 announcement says the Wegovy oral pill may be dispensed at select kiosks. The kiosk FAQ excludes refrigerated Wegovy, which means the pen is not a kiosk product. The pilot is limited to participating One Medical clinics in the Los Angeles area.
Can Amazon deliver to a P.O. box or Amazon Locker?
No. Amazon Pharmacy delivers to physical addresses and excludes P.O. boxes, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, Amazon Lockers, and other pickup points.
Does Amazon Pharmacy sell compounded semaglutide?
No. Amazon says compounded medications are unavailable through Amazon Pharmacy. Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved Wegovy, and FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.
Can I get a 90-day supply of Wegovy from Amazon?
Possibly outside the Medicare Bridge, if your prescription, insurance, program terms, and stock allow it. Amazon says it can fill 90-day prescriptions for non-controlled medicines, and Novo’s commercial savings terms define multi-month fills. The Medicare Bridge is different: it only permits one 28- or 30-day supply per fill and does not allow 60- or 90-day fills.
What if Amazon does not have my dose?
Ask for the current restock or delivery estimate and contact your prescriber. Do not change strength, split a dose, or switch between pill and pen on your own.
Still deciding?
Amazon Pharmacy does have Wegovy. The real question was never whether it exists. It was whether Amazon has your dose, at your price, and whether you have the prescription and payment path to make it happen.
If you have all three, go check your strength and ZIP. It takes a minute.
If you do not have a prescription and plan to pay cash, read Amazon One Medical’s screen before paying for care.
If you want insurance to cover the Wegovy pen, check the benefit first and use a clinician or program that can handle the PA.
