FuturHealth GLP-1 Reviews (2026): Is It Legit, What It Really Costs, and the Catch

FuturHealth GLP-1 reviews split hard: 4.6 of 5 on Trustpilot but 1.3 of 5 on ConsumerAffairs, with 1,714 BBB complaints over three years. It's a real San Diego company selling FDA-approved pills and Zepbound. One Wegovy pill offer lists $248, then $298 a month, membership and medicine included. The catch is in the refund and renewal fine print.

That $298 plan is cheaper on paper than buying the same pill through some well-known competitors. But FuturHealth's other medicines don't show a month-two price, and the guarantee covers less than it sounds. The tables below put it all side by side.

The RX Index is the independent GLP-1 decision resource that scores telehealth providers and treatment paths on clinical legitimacy, care quality, transparency, access, and cost, so readers can choose the path that fits their situation.

RX Index Decision Verdict: A real company with a genuinely competitive Wegovy pill price and a long trail of billing complaints. It can be a good deal if you confirm the supply and extra fees, get the $298 terms in writing, and keep your own records.

  • Best for: Cash-paying adults who want the Wegovy pill plus an app for meals and workouts, with no insurance in the picture.
  • Not ideal for: Anyone who needs clear insurance billing or help with an appeal; anyone who wants Foundayo or Zepbound with a posted month-two price; anyone who can't afford a billing fight. Medicare and Medicaid readers should start with their own plan.
  • The factor that matters most: Whether your checkout shows the all-in renewal price, in writing, before you pay.

How much does FuturHealth really cost?

FuturHealth's Wegovy pill program listed $248 for the first month and $298 a month after that on October 21, 2026, with membership and medicine included at any prescribed dose. Its homepage lists Foundayo and Wegovy pills "as low as $198" and Zepbound KwikPen "as low as $395" for the intro month. For Foundayo and Zepbound, we couldn't find a month-two price on FuturHealth's public pages.

Think of it like a phone plan. The first-month price is the sticker. What matters is the bill in month four, month eight, and month twelve.

The Wegovy pill: FuturHealth vs. buying it elsewhere

FuturHealth's Wegovy pill offer page says its price "includes program membership and medication cost (any dose)." That flat price is the big deal here. The other two paths shown here charge more as your dose goes up.

Here's a price example using 12 FuturHealth plan charges, 12 Ro membership payments plus 12 medicine fills, or 12 NovoCare fills. It uses the tablet strengths in the Wegovy label's schedule: 1.5 mg, then 4 mg, then 9 mg, then 25 mg, with no delays. Your clinician decides your actual dose.

The limit on this comparison: NovoCare defines a month as 30 tablets; FuturHealth's offer doesn't state its tablet count. Twelve NovoCare fills cover 360 days. These are posted-charge examples, not verified totals for the same full year of treatment. Prices are held fixed for the math; unknown fees and Ro's medication-prepayment discounts are not included.

What this means in plain terms:

  • FuturHealth's intro price is $60 more than Ro's listed membership-plus-medicine total. Its posted charge is lower in the later rows of this example. Supply and extra fees still need to match before you call that a saving.
  • In this example, FuturHealth's 12 plan charges are $1,490 less than Ro's monthly membership plus medicine. If you prepay Ro's 12-month membership after month one, the cash outlay is $4,265 ($39 + $888 + $3,338 for 12 medicine fills). That prepaid $888 also covers month 13 of membership, so the periods don't match exactly. FuturHealth's listed charges are $739 lower before unknown extras or other discounts. Ro's paid membership fees are generally nonrefundable; its refund if you're not eligible is separate.
  • FuturHealth's 12 plan charges are $188 more than 12 medicine fills from NovoCare in this example. FuturHealth's offer includes clinician care and app support, but we couldn't match its supply or extra fees. NovoCare only fills the prescription; you'd still need a prescriber.
  • Don't choose a dose to fit a price table. The 1.5 mg tablet is a starting dose, not the labeled maintenance dose. Your clinician decides your treatment; compare costs at the dose prescribed.

Worked example: Say you're 46, paying cash, and your clinician moves you up each month like the table shows. Four FuturHealth plan charges total $1,142. Four Ro monthly membership payments plus four medicine fills total $1,432. Any labs or shipping FuturHealth adds would go on top of its number. An unknown fee isn't zero.

Foundayo and Zepbound: intro prices only

FuturHealth lists only intro-month prices for its other two medicines. Here they are next to the drugmakers' starting-dose cash prices. FuturHealth doesn't state the dose or supply behind those intro prices.

Foundayo and Zepbound: intro prices only
MedicineFuturHealth intro monthDrugmaker's starting-dose cash price (medicine only)Ro month 1 at that doseFuturHealth month 2
Foundayo pill (orforglipron)As low as $198$149 for 30 days at 0.8 mg (LillyDirect)$188 ($39 + $149)Not posted
Zepbound KwikPen (tirzepatide)As low as $395$299 for 28 days at 2.5 mg (Lilly)$338 ($39 + $299)Not posted

FuturHealth may include care in its intro price. Its homepage doesn't say. The drugmaker prices are medicine only, with offer rules and possible taxes or fees. LillyDirect's KwikPen offer requires a separate needle purchase; FuturHealth's medicine page says pen needles are included. Confirm what your order contains.

The "$198" Wegovy pill figure on FuturHealth's homepage is lower than the $248 on its offer page the same day. The offer page showed a "$50 off your first month" promo: $298 minus $50 is $248, not $198. We couldn't confirm that both offers lead to the same checkout terms. The offer page also says FuturHealth will email at least 7 days before any price change.

Before you pay: nine questions to get answered in writing

A clear written answer won't guarantee a refund. But it gives you a record if a charge doesn't match what you were told. Copy these into FuturHealth's chat before checkout:

  1. Which exact plan and price will my checkout use?
  2. What is due today, and when is the next charge?
  3. What will month two cost at my dose, and does it change as my dose goes up?
  4. Does my price include the medicine, the clinician visit, required labs, and shipping?
  5. How many tablets or doses does each "month" include?
  6. If the clinician doesn't prescribe, what happens to my payment?
  7. Which medical group and which pharmacy will handle my care, and can they serve my state?
  8. What does canceling stop: the membership, pending orders, or both?
  9. What part of my payment can be refunded, and under what conditions?

Save the reply and a screenshot of your checkout screen.

Not sure FuturHealth is your path at all? The right GLP-1 provider isn't the same for everyone. It depends on your state, your insurance and formulary (your plan's list of covered drugs), whether you want FDA-approved or compounded medicine, a pill or a shot, and your budget. The RX Index's Find My GLP-1 Path tool is free, takes about 2 minutes, and needs no signup: answer a few quick questions and see the GLP-1 paths and providers that fit your goals, budget, insurance, and situation.

See which GLP-1 path fits you

If you're leaning toward Foundayo or the Zepbound KwikPen, the missing month-two price is the real problem. Ro posts dose prices and membership options for both, so you can compare the ongoing charges before you start. Its starting-dose medicine prices in the table match the drugmakers' own cash prices; membership costs extra.

The catch: what FuturHealth's own terms say

FuturHealth's ads lead with intro prices, but its Terms of Use (last updated July 1, 2026) say "SUBSCRIPTION FEES DO NOT INCLUDE MEDICATION COSTS." Its money-back guarantee covers membership fees only, not medicine, pharmacy, lab, or clinician charges. The specific Wegovy pill offer says medicine is included, so match your checkout to that offer and get the charge breakdown in writing.

Here's where the ad and the paperwork part ways:

The catch: what FuturHealth's own terms say

Picture a gym that says "money back if you're not happy," and the contract says "money back on the membership card, not the classes or the towels." Both are true. You just need to know which one you're buying.

Older reviews show why this matters. In 2025, many ConsumerAffairs reviewers said they prepaid a multi-month program, then got separate monthly medicine charges of about $397 to $500. FuturHealth's current Terms now spell out that membership excludes medicine, in capital letters.

What FuturHealth GLP-1 reviews actually say

FuturHealth holds 4.6 of 5 from more than 15,700 Trustpilot reviews and 1.3 of 5 from 89 ConsumerAffairs reviews. The BBB rates it A- while listing 1,714 complaints over three years. Each site counts different people in different ways, and none of them measures whether the medicine works.

ConsumerAffairs1.3/5 from 89 reviews; 88% one-star. Weighted to the last 24 months.Small sample of mostly unhappy customers. Useful for spotting billing questions to ask.

What happy members say

The praise centers on people. Many Trustpilot reviewers name clinicians who listened, explained clearly, and didn't rush the visit. Some mention quick replies and steady shipping.

What unhappy members say

The complaints repeat a short list of problems:

  • Thought the price included medicine, then got a second charge.
  • Charged after canceling.
  • Refunds promised but slow or missing.
  • Medicine late or never shipped.
  • Hard to reach a person who can fix it.

Two examples, in customers' own words. Chad Vance on Trustpilot wrote on August 25, 2026: "Dropped my dosage but still charged me for the higher dosage." Wes B on ConsumerAffairs wrote on December 30, 2025: "I'm out $411.00 when I was told 100." The company replied to the Trustpilot review and offered to check the bill. These are customer reports; we didn't verify the events behind them.

Is FuturHealth legit? Who's behind it

Yes. FuturHealth, Inc. is a real company in San Diego, started in November 2023, that runs a weight-loss website and app. It doesn't prescribe. Its privacy notice (June 11, 2026) says independent medical groups provide all clinical care: SteadyMD Physician Group, OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, and groups supported by CareValidate.

What FuturHealth says that we couldn't check: 400,000+ members, 1 million prescription orders, "24/7 Provider Care," and shipping in about 3 to 5 business days. Its homepage shows "4.7" from Trustpilot; Trustpilot itself shows 4.6. Its site displays a LegitScript seal, which is a private certification, not FDA approval.

A privacy note. In a notice dated October 17, 2025, FuturHealth reported an incident involving data it hosted for G-Plans subscribers. The notice described unauthorized access and acquisition on or before October 16, 2024, involving names and medical information. It said Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, and financial account information were not involved. (Notice filed with the California Attorney General) That was a past incident tied to G-Plans data. It doesn't show that today's FuturHealth members were affected.

Which medicines does FuturHealth offer?

On October 21, 2026, FuturHealth's public medicine menu listed three FDA-approved brand-name medicines: Foundayo pills, Wegovy pills, and the Zepbound KwikPen. A licensed clinician decides whether any of them fits you. FDA approval belongs to each medicine, not to FuturHealth.

Which medicines does FuturHealth offer?
MedicineWhat it isMakerKey fact
Wegovy pillOral semaglutide, once dailyNovo NordiskThe 25 mg tablet is also approved to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart-related death in adults with established cardiovascular disease and obesity or overweight, alongside diet and activity (prescribing information).
FoundayoOral orforglipron, once dailyEli LillyFDA-approved April 1, 2026 for adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition. Can be taken any time, without food or water rules (Lilly).
Zepbound KwikPenTirzepatide injection, once weeklyEli LillyOne pen holds four weekly doses (prescribing information).

To compare the two pills, see Wegovy pill vs. Foundayo.

What about compounded medicine? FuturHealth's Terms say some medicines "may be compounded," and its Legacy FuturHealth app listing mentions microdosing for existing members without naming the medicine. We didn't find a current compounded offer on its public medicine menu or offer pages. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA doesn't review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they're sold.

The FDA's April 1, 2026 update says semaglutide and tirzepatide aren't on its shortage list or its 503B bulks list. FDA restricts compounding copies of drugs sold on the market; patient-specific exceptions and other legal conditions apply. Talk to your own clinician first if this is you

If you're under 18, pregnant or planning a pregnancy, have type 1 diabetes, or have had an eating disorder, start with a clinician who knows your history before choosing any online service. The Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo labels all say not to use them if you or a relative has had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC, a rare thyroid cancer), or if you have multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN 2, a rare genetic condition). None of these medicines is for anyone who's had a serious allergic reaction to its ingredients.

See GLP-1 hard contraindications and GLP-1s, pregnancy, and birth control.

Trouble breathing or swelling of your face or throat needs emergency care. Severe stomach pain that won't go away needs prompt medical care.

Does FuturHealth take insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or HSA?

FuturHealth's platform fees are generally cash-pay. Its Terms say it doesn't bill Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or private insurance for those fees unless checkout expressly says otherwise. Clinicians, pharmacies, and labs have their own billing rules. A third-party partner may check your benefits and request prior authorization, but only gives estimates and won't help appeal a denial.

The same section asks buyers paying for all medicines and services themselves to state that they are not enrolled in government or private insurance and will not seek reimbursement. If you have coverage, get that clause explained in writing before paying.

Prior authorization is a permission slip from your insurer. Your plan may require one before it pays for a GLP-1. These are four separate questions, so check each one:

  • Insurance coverage: does your plan cover the drug? Ask your plan. See how to get insurance to cover a GLP-1.
  • Savings cards: drugmaker coupons for people with commercial insurance.
  • HSA or FSA cards at checkout: FuturHealth's homepage says "HSA / FSA eligible."
  • Tax rules: IRS rules decide what counts as a qualified medical expense. See can you use an HSA for a GLP-1?

If you have Medicare: start with your own plan and the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. The program began July 1, 2026. Eligible Part D members can get Foundayo for a $50 copay per 30-day supply if they meet its plan and medical rules and receive prior authorization. This is a separate Medicare program, not a FuturHealth discount. (Medicare, CMS eligibility rules)

If you have Medicaid: start with your state plan. See GLP-1 providers that accept Medicaid.

If you have commercial insurance through work or the marketplace: your plan might cover an FDA-approved pen, which could beat any cash price. Ro's free checker reports coverage for the Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound pens. It doesn't cover the pills or the KwikPen, and it doesn't submit treatment requests or prescribe. Help with prior authorization comes with paid Ro Body membership if a Ro clinician prescribes.

Ro's government-plan rules vary: Medicaid patients are not eligible for Ro Body, while Federal Employees Health Benefits members can get its insurance-concierge help. Medicare readers should start with their plan and clinician. (Ro's insurance rules)

Should you choose FuturHealth?

FuturHealth makes the most sense for one reader: someone paying cash for the Wegovy pill who wants the app and coaching, and who gets the $298 terms in writing. For the other situations below, a different path gives you a clearer next step.

Try four quick yes-or-no checks:

  1. Are you paying cash, with no insurance in play?
  2. Do you want the Wegovy pill?
  3. Will you save your checkout screen and FuturHealth's written answers?
  4. Are you okay that medicine charges aren't covered by the guarantee?

Four yeses? FuturHealth's Wegovy pill plan deserves a serious look. Any no? This table points somewhere better.

One honest limit, and a way around it. Ro's $74 membership rate means paying $888 upfront after the first month, and medicine still costs extra. Already a member? How to cancel FuturHealth or ask for a refund

FuturHealth's Terms let you cancel three ways:

  • In your account: Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription.
  • By phone: (831) 900-4723, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern, every day.
  • By chat: through FuturHealth support.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to stop the next charge. Canceling and getting a refund are separate requests.

Start with FuturHealth's own support team:

Open FuturHealth support chat

Then:

  1. Cancel in your account first, so you have a record. Confirm by chat. Screenshot both.
  2. Save the confirmation. FuturHealth says it processes cancellations right away or within one business day.
  3. Ask about pending orders. A medicine order already processed may not be refundable, even if it hasn't shipped.
  4. Ask for a refund separately, in writing. Give the charge date and amount. The guarantee covers only refundable membership fees from the last 6 months. On the Wegovy pill plan, the offer page says to call (831) 900-4723 for guarantee refunds.
  5. Charged after canceling? Send your cancellation screenshot and ask for that charge back in writing.
  6. Paid with Affirm? The refund policy says you must keep paying the lender even if FuturHealth issues a refund. Ask the lender how the refund changes your balance and payment schedule.
  7. Questions about your dose or side effects? Message your clinician in the app. Support staff can't change your treatment. If your treatment stops, ask your clinician or pharmacist what to do.

Heads up: FuturHealth's pages list three different phone numbers:

  • (831) 900-4723, on the Terms, refund policy, and site header
  • (888) 616-4783, on the homepage help section
  • 888-258-2996, in its replies to Trustpilot reviews

Use the account and chat routes, so you have a written record.

Arbitration opt-out: the Terms allow 30 days after you first accept them, or after a material change to the arbitration section, to opt out. Email legal@futurhealth.com with your name, address, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out (Terms, section 22). The clause also lists exceptions, including small-claims cases.

FuturHealth reviews: frequently asked questions

Is FuturHealth legit?

Yes. FuturHealth, Inc. is a San Diego company, started in 2023, and its documents name the independent medical groups whose clinicians prescribe. Legit isn't the same as easy, though: the BBB lists 1,714 complaints over three years, including billing and service complaints. Get your price in writing.

How much does FuturHealth cost?

Its Wegovy pill plan listed $248 for month one, then $298 a month, with membership and medicine included at any prescribed dose (checked October 21, 2026). Foundayo starts "as low as $198" and Zepbound KwikPen "as low as $395" for the intro month. FuturHealth doesn't post month-two prices for those two.

Is medication included in FuturHealth's price?

On the Wegovy pill plan, yes; the offer page says membership and medicine are both included. FuturHealth's general Terms say subscription fees don't include medicine. Match your checkout to the exact offer and ask in writing.

Why are FuturHealth's reviews so different on Trustpilot and ConsumerAffairs?

Trustpilot's 4.6 comes from more than 15,700 mostly older reviews, often praising clinicians, and Trustpilot notes the company hasn't invited reviews recently. ConsumerAffairs' 1.3 comes from 89 reviews, with repeated billing complaints. They are reports from different groups of customers; we did not verify each event behind them.

Is FuturHealth cheaper than Ro?

Its posted Wegovy pill charges are lower in the later rows of our example: $3,526 for 12 FuturHealth plan charges vs. $5,016 for 12 Ro monthly membership payments plus 12 medicine fills. That isn't a verified saving for equal supplies: FuturHealth's tablet count and extra fees are unknown, and Ro offers prepaid discounts. Ro's intro membership and medicine total was $60 lower. For Foundayo and Zepbound, FuturHealth doesn't post later prices.

Does FuturHealth take insurance?

Its platform fees are generally cash-pay unless checkout expressly says otherwise. Clinicians, pharmacies, and labs have their own billing rules. A partner may check your benefits, but it only gives estimates and won't help with appeals. The Terms also include a broad insurance statement for buyers paying for all care themselves. If you have coverage, ask how that clause applies and which exact charges your plan could cover before paying.

Can I get my money back from FuturHealth?

Possibly. The guarantee covers refundable membership fees from the six months before you cancel. The Wegovy pill offer ties it to full program adherence, weekly in-app check-ins, and no change by program end. Medicine, pharmacy, lab, and clinician fees aren't covered.

How do I cancel FuturHealth?

Use Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription, call (831) 900-4723, or use FuturHealth support chat. Do it at least 24 hours before renewal, and save written proof.

Are FuturHealth's medicines FDA-approved?

The three on its public menu are: Wegovy pills, Foundayo pills, and the Zepbound KwikPen. Its Terms say compounded medicines may also be offered, and those aren't FDA-approved. Check the exact name on your prescription label.

Are labs and shipping included?

FuturHealth's public pages don't say for every plan. Ask for a written list of required labs and delivery fees before you treat any plan price as your total.
