Does Fridays Have a Membership Fee? Every Charge That Can Hit Your Card

Does Fridays have a membership fee? No—not on its compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide plans. The plan price includes the compounded medication if prescribed, provider support, coaching, and delivery. Fridays says so on its own pricing page: “Fridays™ Membership Included ($0).”

But three things change that answer, and one of them is buried in a contract almost nobody reads.

Here's the fast version.

The Wegovy totals above use Fridays' published membership and starting-dose prices before any applicable taxes or other checkout charges.

Fridays also says its prescription weight-loss paths are not available in all 50 states. State availability and clinical approval come before price.

The three catches:

1. Wegovy is different. Pick the Wegovy Pill or Pen and you pay a membership — $49 the first month — and the drug is billed on top of that.
2. There's a fee in the terms that isn't priced on the website. Fridays may charge a no-show or late-cancellation fee to your card automatically, but it does not publish the amount.
3. Multi-month pricing is messy, and the renewal can be one big charge. Fridays currently calls the same $596 semaglutide charge and $896 tirzepatide charge a three-month plan in its help center and a four-month subscription on separate live offer pages.

That last point is not a typo in this article. It is a live conflict inside Fridays' own website.

Fridays' claims vs. what we could verify

We read Fridays' pricing pages, current help-center billing guidance, and the full Terms & Conditions to build this. The answer really is “no separate membership fee” on the compounded plans. The problem is everything that sentence leaves out.

Fridays might be a good fit if you:

• Want one flat compounded-plan price with the medicine already in it
• Don't want to juggle two separate bills every month
• Are paying cash and have a rough idea how long you'll stay on treatment
• Will actually put your renewal date in your calendar

Fridays is probably not your best move if you:

• Think “no membership fee” means “no subscription” — it doesn't
• Aren't sure you'll still be doing this in 60 days
• Want an FDA-approved brand-name drug through an insurance-first path
• Want every possible fee published to the dollar before you hand over a card

Does Fridays have a membership fee on compounded plans?

No. On Fridays' compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide plans, the separate membership charge is $0. The plan itself is still a recurring subscription.

That distinction matters more than it sounds.

Look at Ro or Hims. Both currently charge $39 for the first month of their weight-loss membership and $149 a month after that. The medication is a separate bill. Two charges, two prices, and sometimes two renewal schedules.

Fridays folded the care into the compounded-plan price. One plan charge. One billing schedule. That's the whole trick, and it's a real one.

Here's where the confusion comes from. Fridays uses four different words for the same recurring relationship across its own website:

None of those are lies. They're four labels for one bundled payment, which is exactly why people show up to a search engine confused.

The plain-English translation: it is one bundled subscription, not free care sitting next to a medicine purchase.

How much does Fridays cost per month?

The clean standard month-to-month prices are $249 for compounded semaglutide and $359 for compounded tirzepatide. Fridays' longer prepaid plans lower the effective monthly rate, but the company currently publishes a direct three-month-versus-four-month conflict for the $596 and $896 offers.

The one sentence that prevents most of the anger

Read that payment column again.

On Fridays' published standard 12-month option, $150 is not a monthly card charge. The plan is $1,800 upfront — which works out to $150 a month.

That's not a small difference. That's the difference between a Netflix bill and a car repair.

The same rule applies to Fridays' published standard $2,880 tirzepatide annual option. “$240 a month” is the effective rate. The standard plan is charged upfront.

What you actually save by paying upfront

We ran the math against the current standard month-to-month prices. The savings change depending on whether the $596 and $896 checkout terms say three months or four.

The savings are real. So is the commitment. Fridays' refund terms are narrow, so a 12-month plan is a $1,800 or $2,880 bet that you'll still want the program months from now.

If you're not sure yet, start month to month. It costs more per month. It also keeps the next renewal to one month instead of another large prepaid block.

A heads-up about the promo prices

Fridays' pricing page currently shows some numbers we're not comfortable repeating as a clean checkout price. The semaglutide card displays $117 and $150. The tirzepatide section displays $198 and $240. The same page also contains $99 “Signature Plan” boxes and an unfinished $xxx savings placeholder.

We're not treating those as reliable totals. Neither should you.

There is a second conflict. Fridays' general Payment Agreement says a discount applies to the first payment only. The separate four-month offer pages say their discount is applied again at each renewal at the then-current discounted rate. Those are different promo rules.

Rule of thumb: if the price in the ad and the price at checkout don't match, the checkout is the one that charges you. Screenshot the checkout screen before you click pay.

Is the medication really included in the Fridays price?

Yes — on compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide plans, the medication is part of the plan price if a licensed clinician prescribes it. It is not included in Fridays' Wegovy membership, where the drug is billed separately each month based on dose.

On the compounded plans, the published bundle includes:

That last one is worth pausing on. Fridays' current compounded pricing table shows one plan price for semaglutide and one for tirzepatide instead of a higher public price at each dose.

What “included” does not mean: you are guaranteed a prescription. A licensed provider decides that after reviewing your intake. Fridays states plainly that providers can decline to prescribe.

It also does not mean every lab is free. Fridays says partner-lab testing through Quest and Labcorp is covered. If you use an outside lab, the lab or your insurance can bill you, and Fridays says it does not reimburse that outside cost.

One important line from Fridays' own footer, and we're repeating the substance because it matters: compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. An “FDA-registered facility” does not turn a compounded drug into an FDA-approved drug. Compounded semaglutide and brand-name Wegovy are not the same product and are not regulated the same way. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

FDA's line is blunt: compounded drugs should be used only when a patient's medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug.

Does Fridays charge a membership fee for Wegovy?

Yes. Fridays' Wegovy Pill and Wegovy Pen paths have two separate charges: a care membership paid upfront for the chosen term and medication billed monthly after a provider approves the dose. Wegovy Pill and Wegovy Pen are FDA-approved brand-name products; Fridays' compounded plans are not.

This is the exception almost every one-line answer misses.

Fridays' pricing-page footnote says “as low as $98/mo,” which matches the $1,180 annual Pen total after rounding; the annual Pill total works out to $79 a month.

So your real first month on a Wegovy Pen at the starting dose is $49 + $199 = $248. Not $49. Two charges, and the second one changes as your dose changes.

Fridays, Ro, and Hims all split their current Wegovy paths into a care membership and a separate medication charge. Fridays is not automatically the cheapest, and neither are Ro or Hims. The winner changes with dose, prepaid term, insurance, and how much help you need with prior authorization.

Ro's membership is $39 for the first month, $149 a month on the monthly plan, or as low as $74 a month when an annual plan is prepaid. Ro also includes an insurance concierge and a coverage checker. The medication is separate. Hims charges $39 for the first month and $149 a month after that, with medication separate.

Are there other Fridays fees? Here are the 10 cost lines we found

Yes. Fridays' published pages contain 10 separate cost categories or billing rules worth checking. A compounded-plan member who avoids optional add-ons, outside labs, and no-show fees may see only the plan charge. The three that deserve the most attention are the Wegovy split bill, the unpublished no-show fee, and the renewal rule tied to your exact offer.

Row 5 is the one Fridays does not price

Fridays' Terms & Conditions contain a section titled Other Fees. It says that if you miss a provider appointment, or cancel one with less than 24 hours' notice, you may be charged a fee. Fridays says that charge is separate from the Subscription Fee and can be charged to the card on file automatically.

Fridays does not publish the amount on the pricing page, in the fee section of the terms, or in the help pages we checked.

We want to be fair about what this is and isn't. This is not a hidden monthly fee. It's a no-show or late-cancellation fee. It only becomes relevant when a scheduled provider visit is missed or moved too late.

But it sits underneath a pricing page that says “No membership fees. No sign up fees. No lab fees.” A contract fee with no published dollar amount is worth knowing about before you agree to it.

What to do about it: keep your appointments, or move them more than 24 hours ahead. If you need the exact amount before joining, ask support in writing and keep the answer.

What's genuinely listed at $0

Credit where it's earned. Fridays advertises no separate compounded-plan membership fee, no sign-up fee, covered partner-lab testing, medication delivery, and no public dose-tier price increase on its compounded plan table.

The lab limit matters: an outside lab can still cost you.

What actually hits your card at renewal?

Fridays plans renew automatically at the interval shown when you register. A month-to-month plan renews monthly. A multi-month plan can renew as one large charge. The Terms say the renewal uses the then-current Subscription Fee, so today's number is not a lifetime price guarantee.

This is the section that matters most.

The exact amount can change. Fridays' Terms say a renewal is charged at the then-current Subscription Fee and say members will be notified before a price increase is applied at renewal. The four-month offer pages separately say those offers renew at the then-current discounted rate.

You can get charged even if you did not request more medication

This is the part that catches the most people, and it is stated in Fridays' own billing guidance: the subscription bills automatically on its schedule. Billing does not cancel itself because no refill was requested.

Read that twice, because the logic feels backwards.

Not ordering more medicine does not cancel your subscription. They're two different things. The subscription pays for ongoing access to the program. Medication fulfillment still follows its own clinical and refill process.

Fridays changed that refill process on August 27, 2026:

• New compounded GLP-1 patients starting on or after August 27 receive a 12-week prescription after approval.
• Existing compounded patients move to that system at their next approved refill.
• One approved compounded refill request covers 12 weeks, with three shipments sent about four weeks apart.
• Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, and Ozempic stay on the monthly request-and-approval process.
• The subscription can still bill on schedule even when a medication request has not been submitted or approved.

So the old advice to request a compounded refill every month is now outdated. Under the new system, the key is to submit the next request before the 12-week prescription runs out and still manage the subscription separately.

The promo code cliff

Fridays' general Payment Agreement says a discount applies to the first payment only. Its Terms say a promotional rate runs for the number of periods stated in the offer and then renews at the current full fee. The separate four-month offer pages say their discount is applied again at each renewal.

That means the offer-specific checkout language matters more than the promo headline. Save it.

What the charge can look like on your bank statement

Fridays' own documents give three possible names connected to its billing flow:

• OPNLP FRIDAYS — listed in the pricing-page FAQ
• OpenLoop Healthcare Partners PC — listed in the Payment Agreement
• Thrive Health Group — listed in the Terms

Why this matters: a real Fridays-related charge may not say “Fridays” in the clearest possible way. Compare the date and amount with your checkout record before treating the charge as fraud, then contact support if it does not match.

Honestly, if you take one thing from this page, take the renewal card. A summary of Fridays' policy can't stop a $1,650 charge. A reminder five days out can.

How do you cancel Fridays, and can you get a refund?

You can cancel through Fridays support or the online account process. To avoid the next charge, Fridays must receive the request at least 72 hours before the next scheduled billing date. Miss that window and the next cycle can bill, with cancellation taking effect at the end of that cycle.

How to cancel

1. Log in to the Fridays patient portal.
2. Find your active plan.
3. Select Cancel or Cancel Subscription.
4. Finish every confirmation step — don't close the tab early.
5. Save the confirmation email or screenshot.
6. Check that the portal shows the cancellation went through.
7. If the option is missing, email [email protected] and keep the timestamp.

The 72-hour rule

Fridays' terms require the cancellation request at least 72 hours before the next billing date. Inside that window, the next cycle can still process.

Three days. Not three business days — but don't test it on a holiday weekend.

Can you pause instead?

There is no standard pause button. Fridays says members normally cancel and reactivate later. Its help center says billing-date changes or manual arrangements may be possible in limited cases, but approval is not guaranteed.

What you can and can't get refunded

Fridays' terms list a short set of refund situations:

• A provider determines you are medically ineligible before services begin
• A verified billing error, such as a duplicate charge
• A refund required by law
• A switch to another Fridays program, where an unused amount may be credited to the new program

Outside those situations, the terms say fees are non-refundable, including when you cancel mid-cycle or decide not to continue.

There is a real conflict in the timing language. The Payment Agreement says Fridays will issue a full refund if a provider determines you are ineligible. The Terms say subscription services begin when enrollment is complete and the medical intake is submitted. Two help articles say services begin when payment is processed, even before the intake is submitted.

Those statements do not draw one clean refund cutoff.

Take a screenshot of the Payment Agreement, refund section, and checkout confirmation before you pay. If a clinician turns you down, request the refund in writing and attach those records.

Once prescription medication has been dispensed or shipped, Fridays says it generally cannot be returned or refunded except where law requires it. If a shipment is damaged or wrong, Fridays' stated resolution is usually replacement. Its terms tell members to report a damaged or incorrect shipment within 24 hours.

The exit almost nobody knows about

Buried in the Terms: if Fridays updates the Terms and you reject the update by following its termination process before accepting the new terms, Fridays says you can request a prorated refund for the unused part of prepaid subscription fees.

If you're sitting on an annual prepay and Fridays changes its terms, that's a real door. Follow the current notice instructions exactly and stop using the service after sending the termination notice, because the Terms say later use can void that rejection.

Is Fridays cheaper than Ro or Hims?

Fridays is simpler on compounded plans because the $249 or $359 plan price includes the compounded medication if prescribed. That does not make it an apples-to-apples price comparison with Ro or Hims, whose current weight-loss memberships are built around separate FDA-approved medication charges. On Wegovy, Fridays is not automatically cheaper.

We checked Fridays' own comparison chart

Fridays publishes a chart claiming Ro and Hims each charge $149 a month in membership fees.

We went and looked. The ongoing monthly membership number is accurate. Both currently advertise $39 for the first month and $149 a month after that, with medication not included.

We're telling you that because we just spent several sections pointing out places where Fridays' own pages do not line up. When Fridays gets a comparison right, you should hear that too. Otherwise you have no way to know whether we're being fair or just building a case.

The missing context is that Ro offers an annual membership rate as low as $74 a month when prepaid, and all three providers can show different medication totals by dose. Don't take any company's comparison chart as your final checkout math. Go look.

What do real Fridays customers say about the billing?

We looked specifically for reviews about money and service — not weight-loss results. This is a page about charges, and a weight-loss testimonial can't tell you anything about billing.

On the bundled value:

On automatic billing:

ConsumerAffairs reviews in 2026 describe $596 renewals that customers said they did not expect or did not want, including cases where no refill was requested. Other reviews praise the bundled price and ongoing support.

Now the balance: an individual review tells you what happened to one person, not what will happen to you. Fridays' published terms are what govern the account, and those terms say subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled on time. The reviews and the contract are telling the same story from two directions.

One disclosure you should have: Fridays' own pricing-page testimonials carry a note saying those members were paid for their testimonials. We did not use those. The quote above comes from an unprompted Trustpilot review.

The honest knock on Fridays

Fridays does not publish what its missed-appointment or late-cancellation fee costs. It's named in the terms, it can be charged to the card on file automatically, and the dollar amount appears nowhere in the public fee language we checked.

Fridays also does not currently give one clean public answer for what $596 and $896 buy. The help center says three months. Separate live offer pages say four months. That is not a harmless wording difference when the same number can control both what you get and when your card is charged again.

The bundle can still be a good deal. Just do not hand over a card until the checkout states the plan length and renewal rule in plain English.

For a compounded cash-pay plan, Fridays has one bundled price while Ro charges a membership plus separate FDA-approved medication. Those are different medication lanes. For Wegovy, Fridays is not automatically cheaper; compare the full membership, medication, insurance, and prepaid-term total.

Are Fridays' compounded medications FDA-approved?

No. FDA does not approve compounded drugs or review them before marketing for safety, effectiveness, or quality. FDA says compounded drugs should be used only when a patient's medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug.

Is Fridays available in every state?

No. Fridays says its prescription weight-loss paths are not available in all 50 states. Availability can depend on the medication, your state, pharmacy coverage, and a clinician's decision.

The bottom line

Fridays doesn't have a separate membership fee on its compounded plans. That part of the marketing holds up, and the $0 membership is a real advantage for a cash-pay shopper who wants medication and care bundled together.

What Fridays has instead is a subscription that renews on its own, sometimes in large prepaid amounts. Its public pages also give two different plan lengths for the same $596 and $896 charges, and its contract allows a no-show fee without publishing the amount.

Know your amount due today. Know the months covered. Know your renewal number. Know your cancel-by date.

Do those four things and Fridays can be a straightforward bundled program. Skip them and a $1,650 or $2,880 renewal can hit your card before you realize what renewed.
