Does Fridays Take Klarna? Yes — For Multi-Month and Annual Plans

Affiliate disclosure: The RX Index is a Fridays affiliate. We may earn a commission if you start with Fridays through a sponsored link on this page, at no extra cost to you. Yes. Fridays takes Klarna. You can use it at checkout on any multi-month or annual subscription. Fridays does not list its month-to-month plan as Klarna-eligible, and it does not accept Affirm or Afterpay. On the $596 semaglutide plan, Klarna Pay in 4 would be four $149 installments if it is offered. Each installment is $100 smaller than Fridays' standard $249 month-to-month charge.

That's the answer. Now here's the part Fridays' one-line answer doesn't tell you, and it's the part that costs people real money: your Klarna payments end about six weeks after the first installment. Your Fridays subscription keeps going — and it renews itself unless you cancel in time. Two customers have publicly reported surprise renewal charges of $896 and $1,650 in the last few weeks.

We'll show you exactly how to avoid that, in about four minutes.

Klarna probably fits you if: you've already decided Fridays is the right treatment path, the full plan price fits your budget, and your only real problem is that the full prepaid charge would land at once instead of over a few weeks.

Klarna probably isn't the fix if: you can only afford the plan because it's split up, you want the month-to-month plan, you want to pay Fridays directly with an HSA or FSA card, or you're not sure you'll still want this in four months.

That last one matters more here than on any other page we write. Keep reading and you'll see why.

The RX Index is the independent GLP-1 decision resource that scores telehealth providers and treatment paths on clinical legitimacy, care quality, transparency, access, and cost, so readers can choose the path that fits their situation.

The right GLP-1 provider isn't the same for everyone — it depends on your state, your insurance and formulary, whether you want an FDA-approved or compounded medication, your preferred treatment path (injection or oral), and your budget. Because a general answer can't resolve those for you, use The RX Index's Find My GLP-1 Path tool to get a personalized provider match with source-verified pricing before you choose.

What payment methods does Fridays accept?

Fridays accepts credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Klarna, and HSA/FSA cards. It does not accept Affirm or Afterpay. Klarna is the only buy-now-pay-later option Fridays lists, and Fridays lists it for multi-month and annual subscriptions.

Fridays' own help center puts it plainly. Under "Accepted Payment Methods" it lists credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Klarna, and HSA/FSA. Under what it doesn't take, it lists exactly two things: Affirm and Afterpay.

Then, in its own FAQ on that same page, Fridays answers the question directly:

"Does Fridays accept buy-now-pay-later services?" "Yes, patients can use Klarna at checkout on any multi-month or annual subscriptions!"

We recommend saving or screenshotting whatever the live checkout shows on the day you sign up. That's the record that actually counts.

Which Fridays plans can you use Klarna on?

Fridays lists Klarna for multi-month and annual subscriptions. Its published payment guidance does not include the one-month plan, so month-to-month Klarna eligibility is not publicly confirmed and should be checked at the live checkout.

Here are the standard compounded plans in Fridays' current Help Center, what they cost, and where Klarna fits. The four-payment column is our own math. Klarna's public Pay in 4 terms say the purchase is split into four equal interest-free installments, with the first collected when the order ships and the next three every two weeks.

Medication status: Every semaglutide and tirzepatide option in the two tables below is a compounded drug. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. They are not the same as FDA-approved brand-name or generic drugs.

12-month plan$2,880 upfrontYes$720.00 × 4$240.00

Standard plan totals come from the Fridays Help Center pricing article, marked "updated this week" when we checked it on August 29, 2026. Fridays says all plans longer than one month must be paid in full upfront. Split amounts are our calculation, not a Fridays or Klarna promise.

One live pricing page is showing lower promotional numbers

Fridays' live pricing page also showed semaglutide as low as $117 per month and tirzepatide as low as $198 per month with promotional codes when we checked it on August 29, 2026.

But the same public page also showed duplicate price lines and unfinished text such as "Save up to $xxx." It did not give a clean prepaid total, a clear term for every promotional number, or a clear statement that the promotion can be combined with Klarna.

So we did not put those promotional headlines into the payment tables above. Do not multiply a promotional "per month" headline by a term and call that your total. Save the exact checkout total, the number of months, the code used, the renewal price, and the payment option offered.

The number most people are looking for

Look at the semaglutide table again, because there's something in it that nobody points out.

Fridays' standard month-to-month semaglutide charge is $249. One Pay in 4 installment on the $596 plan would be $149.

One installment is $100 smaller, you get three or four months instead of one, and the price per month drops from $249 to somewhere between $149 and $199 depending on how the plan is counted (more on that in a second).

Same story on tirzepatide: the standard monthly charge is $359, versus four $224 installments on the $896 plan if Pay in 4 is offered.

That's the honest case for using Klarna here. It's not a discount. It's a smaller installment on a lower monthly-rate plan. You still owe the full $596 or $896.

➡️ Fridays shows live pricing and payment choices during enrollment. See current Fridays pricing and start the eligibility check → (sponsored) A prescription isn't guaranteed. A licensed clinician decides. Before you authorize payment, confirm Klarna appears for your exact plan and save the total, term, first-payment date, and renewal terms.

Can you use Klarna on the Fridays monthly plan?

Fridays does not list its month-to-month subscription as Klarna-eligible. Its published wording covers multi-month and annual subscriptions only. Readers who want a one-month plan should expect to pay $249 for semaglutide or $359 for tirzepatide with one of Fridays' other listed payment methods.

This is the one real limitation, and we're not going to bury it.

Fridays does not list Klarna for its month-to-month plan. If paying one month at a time without a multi-month prepayment is what you need, Klarna isn't going to solve that here. You'd pay $249 or $359 using credit, debit, Apple Pay, or an eligible HSA/FSA card, or you'd want a different payment setup.

But here's the flip side, and it's genuinely good news: the plans Klarna does cover are the lower monthly-rate plans. That's the whole reason a Klarna installment can be smaller than a single month paid another way. If Fridays offered Pay in 4 on the $249 monthly plan, the math would be $62.25 per installment — and you'd still be paying the highest standard monthly rate Fridays lists. The limit is annoying. It also happens to point you at the better standard rate.

If month-to-month without a multi-month prepayment is truly what you need, don't force this. Use the Find My GLP-1 Path tool and we'll match you to a treatment path built for that.

➡️ If a multi-month plan works for your budget, that's the type Fridays lists for Klarna. Check your eligibility and see live Fridays pricing → (sponsored)

Why do Fridays' $596 and $896 plans show two different lengths?

Fridays currently describes the same $596 and $896 charges two different ways. Its Help Center calls them three-month plans. Its live promotional product pages call them four-month subscriptions billed once every four months. The difference changes the cost per month by roughly $50 to $75.

We found this by reading both pages on the same day. Here's exactly what each one says.

Why do Fridays' $596 and $896 plans show two different lengths?
Fridays sourceWhat it says about $596 / $896
Help Center pricing article$596 and $896 are listed as 3-month plans at about $199 and $299 per month
Live semaglutide product page$596 is a 4-month subscription under a buy-three-get-one-free offer
Live tirzepatide product page$896 is a 4-month subscription under the same offer

The fine print on each product page says the offer is a 25% discount on the total four-month subscription fee. It says customers are billed once every four months, the discount is applied at checkout and later renewals, pricing can change, and the subscription renews at the then-current discounted rate unless canceled.

What that does to the math

For semaglutide at $596:

  • Counted as 3 months, that's $198.67 per month
  • Counted as 4 months, that's $149.00 per month

For tirzepatide at $896:

  • Counted as 3 months, that's $298.67 per month
  • Counted as 4 months, that's $224.00 per month

Neither reading is a trick. The four-month product page is the better value of those two descriptions, and it is live. But you should know which version you're buying before you agree to it, because the plan length also sets your renewal date.

Don't pick whichever number you like better. The checkout screen is the record that controls what you're charged. Screenshot it.

One number that will confuse you if nobody warns you

On the $596 plan, each Klarna Pay in 4 installment is $149.00. The four-month cost per month is also $149.00.

Same number. Completely different clock.

Klarna's $149 is one of four installments, with the last three collected every two weeks after the first. Fridays' $149 is a monthly average of a prepaid four-month bill. If you see $149 in two places and assume you're paying $149 once a month forever, you'll budget wrong in both directions.

What happens when your Fridays plan renews?

Fridays subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel first. Fridays' terms authorize recurring payments at the then-current subscription fee. The promotional four-month pages say those plans renew every four months at the then-current discounted rate. Pricing may change. Your Klarna agreement and your Fridays subscription are separate obligations.

This is the most important section on this page, and it's the one no other page connects to Klarna.

Here's the timeline, laid out:

What happens when your Fridays plan renews?
WhenWhat happens
Enrollment and medical intakeFridays says the subscription begins and the first billing cycle is charged when enrollment is completed and the medical intake is submitted.
When the order shipsKlarna's public Pay in 4 page says the first installment is collected when the order ships. Save your actual Klarna agreement because the Fridays enrollment clock and the Klarna installment clock are not described the same way.
14, 28, and 42 days after the first Klarna installmentKlarna collects installments 2, 3, and 4. The Pay in 4 schedule is then finished.
At the end of the 3-, 4-, 6-, or 12-month Fridays termFridays renews the subscription unless you canceled in time. The renewal is at the then-current rate and uses the payment information tied to the subscription. Do not assume it will be the same dollar amount or that your first Klarna schedule covers it.

That gap between "I finished paying Klarna" and "wait, why was I charged again" is where people get hurt.

And it isn't hypothetical. Two Fridays customers described it publicly in the last few weeks:

"We're now stuck dealing with a $1,650 bill for something we didn't intend to continue." — Customer review, ConsumerAffairs, August 27, 2026

"I requested services to stop, I was charged $896 anyway." — Customer review, Trustpilot, August 19, 2026. Fridays replied publicly, apologized, and said it would gather more details and work toward a resolution.

These are individual experiences, not a prediction of yours. But both are exactly the failure this page exists to prevent, and both involve the same dollar amounts we listed in the tables above.

Cancelling Fridays does not automatically erase your Klarna schedule. A Klarna dispute does not cancel Fridays. They're two separate agreements with two separate companies. You have to check each one.

How to cancel Fridays

  1. Sign in to the Fridays patient portal
  2. Open Billing
  3. Find your active plan
  4. Select Cancel Subscription
  5. Save the confirmation screen

Fridays says a Billing page that shows "Active until [date]" with no cancel button means the cancellation is complete.

Submit it at least 72 hours before your next billing date. Fridays does not currently offer a standard pause option — the normal path is cancel and reactivate later. And Fridays' terms describe subscription fees as non-refundable except for the limited cases named in its policy or where the law requires otherwise.

One more small thing that surprises people: Fridays' terms say a missed appointment or a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice may trigger a separate no-show or late-cancellation fee. The current terms do not state a fixed dollar amount.

What to check at the Fridays checkout before you pay

Before authorizing payment, capture five things: the full Fridays total, the exact number of months covered, the Klarna product and payment dates, the next renewal date and cancel-by date, and the renewal price or pricing rule. If the checkout doesn't show all five, ask Fridays support in writing before paying.

This is the part we'd want a friend to do. It takes ninety seconds.

What to check at the Fridays checkout before you pay
Save thisWhy it matters
Full Fridays total and amount being authorizedA low "per month" headline can sit on top of a $596 to $2,880 prepaid charge
Exact months coveredFridays currently describes $596 and $896 as both 3-month and 4-month plans
Klarna product, first-payment date, schedule, APR, and feesPay in 4 is interest-free when paid on time; Pay over time can run 3 to 24 months at 0% to 35.99% APR
Next renewal date and cancel-by dateFridays must receive the cancellation at least 72 hours before renewal
Renewal amount, pricing rule, and payment methodFridays' terms use the then-current subscription fee, so the next charge is not guaranteed to match today's price

Then set one calendar reminder: your renewal date minus 4 days. That single reminder is the difference between the two reviews above and a clean experience. It costs you nothing.

Screenshot the plan page, the final checkout, and your Klarna agreement. If you ever have to dispute anything, those three images are worth more than any phone call.

➡️ You now know the exact total, the exact payment schedule, and the exact date to protect. That's everything you needed. Start the Fridays eligibility check and confirm all five fields → (sponsored) A prescription isn't guaranteed. If a licensed provider determines that you are medically ineligible before services begin, Fridays' current terms say you receive a full refund for the applicable billing cycle.

When is the first Klarna payment due at Fridays?

Klarna's public Pay in 4 page says the first payment is collected when the order ships, then the next three are collected every two weeks. It does not say the first payment is always due the instant you click checkout.

Fridays' own terms use a different event for the subscription clock: they say the first billing cycle is charged when you finish enrollment and submit the medical intake.

That does not prove the two companies will charge you twice. It means the public wording describes two different clocks:

  • Fridays clock: when your subscription starts
  • Klarna clock: when your first installment is collected
  • Renewal clock: when the Fridays plan term ends

The four Pay in 4 installments span 42 days from the first installment to the fourth. Your Fridays plan may last three, four, six, or twelve months. Finishing Klarna does not mean the Fridays subscription ended.

Use the first-payment date in your actual Klarna agreement. Do not assume "due today."

Does using Klarna affect your credit, and will you be approved?

Klarna makes a separate automated decision on every purchase, so past approval doesn't guarantee approval at Fridays. Klarna says Pay in 4 and Pay over time use a soft credit check that does not affect your score or show to other lenders. Pay in 4 is not reported to credit bureaus. Pay over time activity is shared with TransUnion and Experian, although Klarna says that shared data currently does not affect your score and is visible only to you.

Two things to know, and the second one can cost you real money.

First: approval isn't automatic. Klarna bases each purchase on current data. Getting approved somewhere last month does not guarantee approval here. A prequalified spending amount is only an estimate, not a promise.

Second: Klarna has more than one product, and they're very different.

Does using Klarna affect your credit, and will you be approved?

Klarna decides which products you qualify for. You choose from the options it actually shows at checkout.

If Klarna offers Pay over time instead of Pay in 4, stop and read the APR, term, down payment, total of payments, and first due date before you agree. A $2,880 plan financed above 0% costs more than $2,880.

One location rule is easy to miss: Klarna says Pay in 4 is available nationwide except Hawaii, U.S. territories other than Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses. If you are in one of those places, Pay in 4 may not appear even though Fridays accepts Klarna.

Can you use Klarna and your HSA or FSA card together at Fridays?

No. You cannot split one Fridays transaction between Klarna and an HSA or FSA card. Fridays accepts HSA/FSA cards directly, but its rule is one payment method per transaction. We did not find a Klarna rule that specifically addresses HSA or FSA card funding, so direct funding through Klarna should not be described as guaranteed or impossible.

Fridays accepts both Klarna and HSA/FSA cards, so it's a fair thing to try. It will not work as one split transaction.

Here is what we could verify:

  1. Fridays' rule. Fridays states it does not allow split payments between an HSA/FSA card and another payment method. One method per transaction.
  2. Fridays' receipt option. Fridays says it can provide an itemized receipt for reimbursement claims.
  3. Klarna's missing rule. We did not find a Klarna rule that specifically names HSA or FSA cards. We're telling you that rather than guessing.

Our recommendation, stated as our judgment and not as a Fridays policy: treat these as either/or. Pay Fridays directly with one eligible HSA/FSA card, or use Klarna with a funding method Klarna accepts. If you want reimbursement after using Klarna, ask your plan administrator first, then request an itemized Fridays receipt. Your administrator decides what is eligible and what documents it needs.

If tax-advantaged payment is your actual goal and Klarna was just Plan B, read our full guide on how Fridays handles HSA and FSA payments instead — that's the better path for you.

Will Fridays still take Klarna next month?

Fridays lists Klarna now, but neither Fridays nor Klarna promises that a checkout method will stay available forever. Klarna's published policy for merchants using Klarna through Stripe classifies medical treatments and prescription pharmacies as restricted categories that can require extra review. We could not verify which Klarna integration Fridays uses.

Two categories in Klarna's Klarna-through-Stripe restricted-business list are relevant to this kind of purchase:

  • Medical treatments and services
  • Prescription pharmacies

Restricted doesn't mean banned. In that merchant policy, it means Klarna may require license checks, compliance checks, and a closer review of the business before approval. It also says approval applies to a specific business and may be changed or revoked.

What this means for you, in plain terms: Fridays lists Klarna today. The restricted-business document shows why a health-related merchant may face added payment review, but it does not prove which approval or processor setup Fridays has.

So verify Klarna on the live checkout screen, not on any article — including this one. We re-check this page monthly. If Klarna doesn't appear at your payment step, use the message at checkout rather than assuming you did something wrong.

What if Klarna doesn't show up, or declines you?

A Klarna decline is not permanent. Klarna assesses each purchase separately, so a later purchase can get a different result. A smaller plan may also produce a different decision, but approval is never guaranteed. If Klarna does not appear at all, check the plan type and location before assuming you were declined.

Try these in order:

  1. Read the checkout message. Klarna says the pop-up explains what to do next. It also sends more information after a decline.
  2. Check the plan type. Klarna is listed for multi-month and annual subscriptions. If you have a one-month plan in the cart, that may be why it is missing.
  3. Check your location. Pay in 4 is not available in Hawaii, most U.S. territories, or for APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
  4. Try a shorter plan only if the full total still fits your budget. A $596 purchase is smaller than a $1,800 purchase, but that does not promise approval.
  5. Pay a different way. Fridays takes credit, debit, Apple Pay, and HSA/FSA. If the total is affordable and only the timing was the problem, another listed method may work.
  6. Or step back and re-pick. If financing is the only way the plan works, that's worth listening to. Find My GLP-1 Path will match you to a treatment path priced for your actual budget — including lower-cost and insurance-based options we don't cover on this page.

Is Klarna a smart way to pay for Fridays?

Klarna is a reasonable tool when the full plan is already affordable and only the timing of the charge is the problem. It is a poor tool when splitting the payment is what makes an unaffordable plan look affordable, or when you're not confident you'll want the subscription in four months.

Our honest read, based on the verified facts above.

Klarna makes sense here when:

  • The full plan total fits your budget, not just the first payment
  • You know exactly how many months you're buying
  • You've saved your renewal date and set the reminder
  • You were going to start Fridays anyway and just needed the charge spread out

Klarna doesn't make sense here when:

  • You need approval for the plan to be possible at all
  • You're unsure about a multi-month commitment
  • The checkout doesn't clearly show the months covered and the renewal amount
  • You expected Klarna to reduce the price. It doesn't.

Our editorial verdict: for the reader who has already chosen Fridays and just needs a softer opening payment, Klarna solves a real problem — and the $596 semaglutide offer is the sweet spot if checkout confirms the four-month version. It has the smallest Pay in 4 installment among Fridays' listed standard multi-month plans at $149, and it is the shortest prepaid total Fridays lists for Klarna. The 12-month plans save more per month, but they require much larger purchases. Klarna alone decides what it will approve.

What customers say about paying Fridays

Three real, dated, public reviews. We're showing you the good and the bad, because on a page about money the bad ones are more useful.

"Fridays offers the most bang for your buck. And it's consistent care." — Customer review, Trustpilot, June 5, 2026

Fridays had 4,650 Trustpilot reviews and a 4.2 TrustScore when we checked on August 29, 2026. Individual experiences vary and none of these predict yours.

One note on the testimonials you'll see on Fridays' own website: Fridays discloses on its pricing page that the members featured in those testimonials were paid. That's a legitimate disclosure and we credit them for making it. It also means those aren't independent proof, and you shouldn't weigh them as if they were.

None of these reviews speak to whether the medication works. They're about billing.

What we actually verified

We confirmed, on August 29, 2026:

  • Fridays lists Klarna as an accepted payment method
  • Klarna is offered on multi-month and annual subscriptions
  • Affirm and Afterpay are not accepted
  • The eight standard compounded-plan prices in Fridays' current Help Center
  • That all standard plans longer than one month are billed in full upfront
  • That the same $596 and $896 totals are described as both 3-month and 4-month plans on different Fridays pages
  • That the promotional four-month plans bill once every four months and renew at the then-current discounted rate
  • That Fridays' standard terms use the then-current subscription fee at renewal
  • Klarna's public Pay in 4 schedule, first-payment wording, late-fee rules, and location exclusions
  • Klarna's Pay over time term range, APR range, credit checks, and credit-reporting policy
  • The 72-hour Fridays cancellation deadline
  • That Fridays may charge a no-show or late-cancellation fee, but its current terms do not state a fixed amount
  • That Fridays does not allow split HSA/FSA payments and can provide itemized receipts
  • Klarna-through-Stripe's published restricted-business classification for medical treatments and prescription pharmacies, without assuming that it identifies Fridays' processor setup

We did not verify, and we're telling you so:

  • We did not buy a Fridays plan. We are not Fridays patients.
  • We can't tell you which Klarna product you'll be offered, your APR, or whether you'll be approved
  • We can't confirm the exact first-installment date for a real Fridays order without seeing that buyer's Klarna agreement
  • We can't confirm every state's live availability for every formulation
  • We did not find a Klarna rule that specifically addresses HSA/FSA cards
  • We can't promise today's price, promotion, or Klarna option will still be there later

Who made this and why: The RX Index Editorial Team. We built this page by reading Fridays' payment, pricing, product, subscription, cancellation, refund, and HSA/FSA pages side by side with Klarna's own published terms, then doing the arithmetic ourselves. It exists because Fridays' one-sentence answer confirms Klarna but leaves the total cost, the plan-length conflict, the first-payment clock, the renewal price, and the cancellation deadline scattered across several pages.

Read our decision methodology, editorial standards, and corrections policy.

A required note on the medication: Fridays' semaglutide and tirzepatide plans described here are compounded medications. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they're marketed. A compounded drug is not the same as an FDA-approved generic or brand-name drug. That's a separate question from how you pay, and it deserves its own conversation with a licensed clinician. Fridays' product pages state that clinical services are provided by OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, PC and other provider networks.

Does Klarna make Fridays cheaper? No. Klarna changes the payment schedule. A separate Fridays promotion may change the price, but do not assume a promotion combines with Klarna unless the checkout says it does.

What happens to my Klarna payments if I cancel Fridays? They are separate agreements. Cancel the Fridays subscription, then check your Klarna account for the remaining schedule and any merchant adjustment. Do not assume one cancellation automatically changes the other.

When do I have to cancel Fridays? Fridays must receive the cancellation at least 72 hours before your next billing date. Save the portal confirmation.

Do Fridays plans renew automatically? Yes. Fridays' terms authorize recurring payments. The four-month promotional pages say those plans renew every four months at the then-current discounted rate unless canceled. Pricing can change.

Is the $150 annual semaglutide price charged monthly? No. The standard annual plan is $1,800 charged upfront. $150 is the monthly average after dividing by 12.

Why does the $596 plan look like both three months and four months? Fridays' Help Center lists $596 as a three-month plan. Its live product page lists the same $596 as a four-month buy-three-get-one-free subscription. Confirm the term at checkout because it changes the cost per month and renewal date.

Is the $117 semaglutide price a complete plan total? No. Fridays showed a $117-per-month promotional headline on August 29, 2026, but the public page did not clearly state the full prepaid total, term, or Klarna-combination rule for that number. Use the exact checkout terms.

Are Fridays' compounded GLP-1 medications FDA-approved? No. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.
